The Drool Gallery: 2010 National Treasures Football NFL Equipment Rookie Autographs

February 27, 2011

By the narrowest of margins, weekend readers of The Knight’s Lance voted 53.6 percent to 46.4 percent to see the 2010 National Treasures NFL Equipment Rookie Autographs over their Reebok logo counterparts.

Truth be told, the poll presented the ultimate win-win proposition. When it comes to the football card gems in question, there really was no wrong answer.

In fact, to take this win-win scenario to its proper conclusion, I think it’s only right — seeing as how the vote was so close — that we eventually show you both galleries before 2010 National Treasures Football hits hobby shops across the country starting Friday.

Stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance in the coming days for an exclusive sneak peek at the captivating Reebok logo autographs. But first, here are the show-stopping signatures you voted for . . .

I like that Damian Williams! Thats pretty cool, gives his cards a little uniqueness… Just out of curiosity, when you send cards or stickers to a player, do you supply a marker (or as well? Is there a procedure that athletes are supposed to follow when signing? Just curious.. 🙂
Beautiful cards, my, oh.. my. Honestly, I voted for the Reebok patches, but seeing all the shield cards in the gallery it seems as it really was a win-win situation. The on card auto’s are a VERY welcome addition to the layout. When you had the first gallery for the rookie patch autos, I couldn’t wait to see them with the autos. Now after seeing the Kafka patch auto from the QC break and these, I am happy to say that the autos did indeed pull the look together, and these are some fantastik looking cards! There seems to be a lot of really cool sets in this product. I’m thinking it should provide some very memorable breaks. Can’t wait to see more!

Hey, Sarah. You’ll be happy to know that the players are provided a healthy supply of pens and very detailed instructions (with visual assistance) on where to sign. Sometimes, though, the players improvise. I agree with you on the Damian Williams cards. The black ink pops and helps his stand out.
