The Routing Table Teases Threads Football, Additional National Treasures Basketball

June 20, 2011

On any given day, one quick glance at the Panini America Routing Table can provide a tell-all synopsis of exactly what’s being worked on inside Panini HQ at this very moment.

Late last week, that included tons of football (2011 Threads and 2011 Rookies & Stars) and the highly anticipated 2010-11 National Treasures Basketball. The following gallery of images details just some of the what’s in store for card collectors in the coming months, including some fresh new designs inspired by the 2011 NFL PLAYERS Rookie Premiere and the tried-and-true upscale stylings of National Treasures.

Stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for complete updates on all of these products as their respective release dates approach.

The Rookies & Stars stuff looks great. Really loving the Dress for Success set. That Randall Cobb will be in my PC for sure. Did you ever put anymore thoughts into giveaways of these proofs? Maybe a contest? I hope they don’t just get tossed in the trash. Unique and very cool.

Any chance of a checklist for the NT Basketball?? It comes out in 6 weeks and no one knows what is gonna be in the product as far as the players go. I’m probably not alone here in being hesitant to drop money on a product that I have no idea who is in it.

No, no, no!!! I actually really liked the “Dress for Success” set the last few years, especially in 2010. I’m currently working on putting together the patch set from it, as i really liked those cards. A patch window that looks like it belongs there and the rookie in full uniform with the ball running or throwing!

This year they’re just standing there with their helmet off? Half the card is a picture of their locker? I’m kind of disappointed in this change. I’m OK with the locker picture, but keep the player picture an action shot like the last few years! I don’t want rookie cards where they’re standing there posing for the camera. You have plenty of other inserts that already do that!

There are a TOn of great things in this gallery, but I’m going to choose to point out something less obvious:
the backs of those “Revolution” cards are great.

and to echo the post above, I’ve been wanting to ask what happens to these proofs since there was one I would have loved to get my hands on a month or 2 ago.

Currently, they’re just filed away. But we may find a way to get these bad boys into collectors’ hands.

Would be VERY cool. I’ve been interested since you first showed the Aaron Rodgers Craftsmen proof months back and I commented. That would be awesome. In the meantime, I’ll have to bust some Elite tonight and try my hand at getting the actual card. Cheers!
