The Panini America Routing Table Today: Sweet NFL Rookie Cards Headed Your Way

July 6, 2011

As football collectors everywhere continue confiscating their respective cardboard targets in 2011 Panini America football products such as PrestigeDonruss Elite and Score, know this: Some of tomorrow’s most collected Rookie Cards are taking shape as we speak back on the Panini America Routing Table.

I just returned to my desk with the photographic evidence to prove it.

Perched gloriously on that table at this very minute are the first stages of RCs from heavy-hitters such as 2011 Absolute Memorabilia, 2011 Limited, 2011 Crown Royale and . . . drum roll, please . . . 2011 Gold Standard, a new entry on the football card release calendar that will no doubt ride the wave of momentum that begins in basketball in the coming weeks.

Before you feast your eyes on the goods, please keep in mind that all of these design routings are in the extremely early stages of development and could very well change between now and release time. But there’s still not a better place on the planet for first-look purposes.

After you’ve perused the gallery, by all means get back to chasing your desired gems from Prestige, Donruss Elite and Score.

Is that Cam Newton a prelim design for a Rookie Silhouettes? If so, very cool. Loved that set in Crown Royale hockey!

Some beautiful (may I say “exquisite”) designs coming from the leaders in the hobby. Well done boys!

Those crown royale designs are amazing. Actually, all the designs tend to my tastes more than their 2010 counterparts.

Really loving the Crown Royal Preview. Those die-cut GU Rookies from last year were the most original cards I’ve seen in awhile in my opinion and for that you get huge props. To be honest though, I think the Gold Standard is sort of ugly. Too much “design” not enough player. Silver pen on-card autos in that black box could sway my opinion though. 🙂

i think your design guys are going a bit overboard, yes, while you do have some great designs, i think they forget their designs should be secondary, the player comes first, the team should be highlighted more, for example the team logos should be larger so people can see them without magnification, as should the images of the player on the base card
