The Panini America Drool Gallery: A 36-Card Selection of Sweet Black Friday Insert Hits

November 17, 2011

In case you haven’t heard, Black Friday is coming — and Panini America is ready. For the better part of three solid months, company officials have been feverishly preparing to turn the nation’s single biggest shopping day of the year into a bona fide collecting, holiday, too.

Beginning next Friday at hundreds of hobby shops across the country, the innovative Panini America Black Friday wrapper-redemption program kicks off, striving to bring the company’s National Sports Collectors Convention-level excitement into your local hobby shop. And judging by the favorable responses to the previews we’ve provided so far, collectors can’t wait.

We’ve been previewing many different aspects of the exclusive Black Friday set in recent days. Last week it was the multisport Black Friday base set. Tuesday we showed you a few of the Black Friday’s Super Bowl XLV insert and yesterday we peeked the Black Friday 2011 NFL Pro Bowl insert.

Today, we fan the flames again with a random-but-impressive selection of the set’s various inserts, including . . .

  • Additional images from the Super Bowl XLV and Pro Bowl inserts
  • A handful of Black Friday-exclusive 2011 Donruss Elite Football Rookie Cards updated with players in their NFL uniforms
  • The unique 2011 NFL Draft Day insert that includes pieces of the very jersey that the depicted player held up just seconds after his name was called on Draft Day

Feast your eyes on these beauties and be sure to check back to The Knight’s Lance tomorrow for a complete list of participating hobby shops and to find out how you can participate online.

And we appreciate you collectors. You’re the reason we get to do what we do and why we do what we do.
