In case you haven’t heard by now, there’s big news surrounding Panini America’s penultimate product of the 2012-13 NHL collecting season: The popular Rookie Anthology is making a comeback after its impressive debut performance last season — and it’s bringing hockey’s first Prizm cards with it. That development alone, first announced during last week’s 2013 Industry Summit, is enough to keep Anthology buzzing from now until long after it releases in early June.

But there’s so much more to Anthology than just the addition of Prizm, such as Rookie Treasures dual-jersey autograph cards (numbered to 699 or less with prime versions numbered to 99 or less), the glorious return of Crown Royale Silhouettes, (featuring rookies and legends and numbered to 99 or less), the acetate-aided Inscriptions Autographs and Titanium Rookies (numbered to the featured player’s jersey number) just to name four.

The product’s myriad other highlights include:

    • Luxury Suite Memorabilia Autographs and Crown Royale Lords of the NHL Patches
    • A box break (five cards per pack, 10 packs per box) that should deliver four memorabilia or autograph cards (with at least one autograph guaranteed), one Rookie Treasures autograph jersey card and one bonus Prizm pack
    • Panini America’s most rookie-filled product to date, featuring Rookie Cards of Chris KreiderJaden Schwartz, Sven Baertschi and more from the company’s top brands, including Elite, Luxury Suite, Titanium and Crown Royale

We’ll have plenty more on 2012-13 Rookie Anthology Hockey in the coming weeks and months right here on The Knight’s Lance. But for now, sit back and enjoy this extended preview gallery.

  1. Awesome, can’t wait to crack open a few boxes of this product. Loved this last year and got some amazing cards.

  2. Why does the Baertschi card have a horse patch? That jersey was retired a few years ago, and well before he started playing with the Flames? Otherwise I love the look of the cards this year!

  3. Always excited for anthology. But the addition of prizm puts me over the edge. Can watch to crack some boxes ASAP!

  4. I don’t understand the Anthology product. Why does it have a mish-mash of different card products? Are they leftover cards?

    1. I actually like being able to get cards with different designs in the same pack.

Nevertheless, how can we have rookie cards from Titanium, Elite, Crown Royale, etc if there were no base sets released for those products?

  5. Niceeeeeee…cmon with the Other Hockey products..im getting bored with Football and basketball…lol !
