2012 National Treasures Football Stars in a Raucous Episode of Panini Unwrapped

By now, 2012 National Treasures Football needs absolutely no introduction. But this history-making episode of Panini Unwrapped starring the high-end juggernaut just might. In addition to witnessing several jaw-dropping stunners during this two-box blockbuster, Panini America's Tracy Hackler also rides shotgun with 20-year hobby veteran Tim Franz, the company's new Director of Sales, on his first-ever video break.

The results — of these two boxes and of Franz’s debut performance — are must-see material that’s sure to leave you laughing and in awe. Oh, and just in case this edition of Panini Unwrapped wasn’t already history-making enough, we also reveal Franz’s Twitter handle for the first time. So sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.

Oh, and here’s thinking there’s a pretty sweet contest coming soon to award some of the hits of this break.

  1. I didnt know you guys are about to drop a product called Brilliance b-ball just saw a pre-sell ad online.Panini aint playn.

      1. Tracy, hope you do let us know here or on Twitter if you’re going to give away that RG3 auto only on FB. I don’t log into FB that often, but still would love a chance at it so I have a RG3 auto to go with my one Luck auto. 🙂 Otherwise, I’m usually never that lucky to pull the big guys autos out of my packs (normally get the really low end guys) and have to rely on contests or paying out the nose to get them. 🙁

    1. If I may, just friendly help, I usually subscribe(notify of follow up posts) to the particular post and then it’ll email you when new post/comments get put on! Then you just gotta look for the “972 eyeblack pic”, tracy’s comment. Works great! Have a good one!

  2. WOW!! that is all.. lol ok no seriously, this product beats the sox off any product released to date! The patch work, the on card autos, the checklist theres not one thing id change with this stuff. If all the books look like that T Rich, all who can afford the chance to open a box of this should be thankful! Wish i could afford, kids and moving to a new place has funds tied up but will be searching secondary for some of these beauties! i especially love the RG3, as im sure most do, I collect QB’s so this card jumps out at me more than any other pulled today, love the patch work on it! Appreciate these chances at winning some great cards, tracy and crew you guys are awesome! Thanks again for the showing of these hits! Good luck to all.. id even be happy with an empty box!!lol those are clean!(i wouldnt mind a full box either..(throat clear)..but i love the high end design of these boxes! Shows great care for the product and the people who spend there money on it, Well done through and through! thanks!

  3. AMAZING!!!!!!! I would love to pull that RG3! I already saved money the last few weeks so I could buy myself a box of National Treasures and I just came home from my local cardshop with it! I want to open it SO bad right now but I think I’m going to wait until I get off work tomorrow, that way I have something to look forward to tomorrow. It’s going to be hard but hopefully it will be worth it if I pull an RG3 like that or Andrew Luck! This is the best National Treasures EVER! Great job Panini!

  4. Got myself an nasty Robert Turbin book auto patch from NT today! Even the books in NT are AmAzInG!!!! Product kind of has it all, vets, books, HOF’ers, Old school players, lots of 1 of 1’s, shields, laundry tags, and the best RPA’s around!!! Pretty big finish to 2013!!!

  5. Griese legend auto/jsy is off the hook!!! Amazing, Amazing, I saw the guys at Mojo Break pull 4 true 1 of 1’s out of 1 case of NT!!! Are u kidding me!!! and a Brady auto /25 redemption in same case!!! I’m in a fog from all the Jaw Droppers I’ve seen pulled today!!!

  6. Love how it says 8 cards per pack on the box but there’s 11 or 12 in every one so far exceeding the original 3 auto/3 mem breakdown. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, I simply can’t wait. The nicest card in these two boxes IMO is the Richardson, and I know everyone would argue the RG3 and that makes perfect sense all day. However, I’ll take a RB w/ legit Adrian Peterson-like talent on a team where they have made some key additions and an improving defense, combined with the downgrades the Ravens and Steelers have suffered, over a QB in the NFC East, and a pure running QB at that, on his 3rd ACL (I’ve torn my ACL so I think I have a pretty good point of reference here) on a team that would be 4-12 without him. Alfred Morris is nice, but I see another Clinton Portis situation under Shanahan brewing because well, pretty simply, we’ve seen this time and time again where he puts out great RB’s behind above average, tough, O-Line’s and then they fail miserably after leaving.Anyway, before I start….or…continue…rambling on I’ll just say that this is probably going to go down as one of the greatest products of all-time, and I can’t thank my lucky stars enough that I’m fortunate enough to be getting a full sealed case on Sunday. Some smart monetary decisions, and in under 98 hours I’ll have my case fully ripped!!!!! HAPPY NATIONAL TREASURES DAY!

  7. Amazingly sick patch on that RGIII rookie. Nice TRich too. I keep a watch out for the giveaways. SWEET PRODUCT TRACY!

  8. Great Video. NT is really an amazing product. I think I’ll try my luck in Las Vegas with one of these beauties instead of the Casinos, next week. One strange thing: how can Tim looks so Minbari ? He’s a fan of Babylon 5, too ? Thanks a lot, Tracy.

  9. I will never be able to afford to buy this product, but watching the break is amazing. So glad you guys gave me an inside look at what a high end product and a beauty of one at that brings us. That RG3 just about made me drool more than a lemon sour candy

  10. Pretty solid overall, I’m not sure what else people can expect from a high end product like this. On-card rookie autos, the most prime mem available and a good amount of HOF/legend content to make sure every collector has something to look for in each break. Thanks as always Tracy and welcome to Tim!

  11. I enjoy how you guys open cases/boxes of high end cards, but I believe the product previews are good enough, because why take the hits out of the chase for the customers buying boxes/cases? Where do these high end pulls go? That RG3 and Richardson would have made someone’s day that just paid $500 for a box.

    1. I would like to know where they go also…. On the video it says stay tuned to find out how you can get them…. But video ends without that information.

  12. I’ll be nce and simply say I’m quite jealous of your two boxes results, my $2000 case netted me TWO Egnew patch autos, a Sanu redemption and a friggin Kevin Walter patch auto/15….

  13. Wow…pure awesomeness was just revealed. For a back of better words that just made my week!!!!!!!!! Keep up the tremendous work Panini and proceed with making splendid products:)

      1. lol DEFINETLY NOT:) I so bad wish:) Just thought I would show you guys the other half of the Redskins patch. I found it on the blowout cards forums.
