Panini America Previews the Official UEFA Euro 2012 Sticker & Album Collection

April 25, 2012

Beginning June 8 in Poland and the Ukraine, 16 teams will vie for the coveted UEFA Euro 2012 championship and the international adoration that comes with it. Millions of rabid fans across Europe will be glued to every kick on every pitch. (Of course, there are bound to be countless early morning pints enjoyed in pubs across America with fans watching the action, too).

And it’s likely that all of those fans — in America and overseas — will pour their passions into Panini’s Official UEFA Euro 2012 Sticker & Album Collection, a massive 539-sticker tribute to the tournament that ships  May 9.

The biggest stars on Europe’s best teams — including England’s Wayne Rooney, Holland’s Wesley Sneijder, Germany’s Mesut Ozil, Spain’s Xavi, France’s Franck Ribery and Italy’s Daniele De Rossi — will be featured in a set comprised of 400 Glossy White Frame stickers, 100 glossy Black Frame stickers and 39 Holographic Foil stickers.

The special 64-page, full-color album includes numbered spaces for every sticker and slots for team-picture puzzles, tributes to past champions and more.

Sticker albums were the greatest invention. I look at it as two hobbies in one. You can put the stickers in an album and you can collect them on the side and put them into 9 card page sheets as I do with some of the NFL ones.
