Panini Peek Preview: 2012-13 Score Hockey

June 20, 2012

The good news: Score Hockey returns for the new season in August to once again provide the best bang for a buck in the hockey collecting universe. The better news: That bang will be more profound than ever before.

For starters, 2012-13 Score Hockey is scheduled to arrive in early August, which means — for the first time since its triumphant return to the market two years ago — that it will be live well before the start of the season to capitalize on intense collector anticipation.

What’s more, 2012-13 Score Hockey will deliver more than 40 new Rookie Cards featuring players who skated during the 2011-12 NHL season but after the 2012 NHL All-Star Game. There’s the glorious arrival of the black-and-white Team Score insert . . . RCs seeded one in every other packs . . . four autographs per case . . . one Gold Rush parallel per box . . . one Gold Rush Hot Rookie per box . . . and a minimum of 12 additional inserts per box. All for just $1 per pack.

Yes, 2012-13 Score Hockey will remain just $1 per pack.

Other highlights include:

  • The Franchise Retro retail-exclusive insert featuring legendary members of Original Six NHL franchises including rare autographed versions
  • The all-new Score Signatures autographed insert including the most popular players in the NHL
  • The Check-It insert makes its long-awaited return to Score showcasing the hardest hitters in the league from today and yesterday
  • The First Goal insert honoring the historic first goals of the 2011-12 season

Stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for additional updates on 2012-13 Score Hockey. But for now, enjoy this extended first look at 2012-13 Score Hockey . . .

Hopefully not, since those were the only cards with any value last season… :S

That Gordie Howe “The Franchise” card is just fantastic. Nice old look with “Mr Hockey” looking like he is about to burst out and cause some mayhem!

Good to see that Score is back next year too. Four auto’s per case means…? Is it 20 boxes in a case, or 12, or 14, or 16, or 18, or 100… 🙂

Score is one of the best products out there for football and hockey! Hope someday you guys will make a basketball version as well. Just picked up some football and hockey versions the other day. Great stuff! Especially for the kids who can get great cards at a great price!

One dollar for one pack. The best value in sports collectibles once again. It’s the only $1 a pack product with your chance to hit an autograph…love it.
