Panini America, Pro Football Hall of Fame Announce Long-Term Extension

July 25, 2012

Panini America, the world’s largest sports and entertainment collectibles company, announced on Wednesday that it has reached a long-term agreement with the Pro Football Hall of Fame, extending the exclusive relationship that began in 2010.

As part of the agreement, Panini America will maintain exclusive rights to use Pro Football Hall of Fame marks and logos on its trading cards and collectible stickers, and will continue to produce special autographed trading cards honoring members of each new class of enshrinees. Panini America also will be the presenting sponsor of all enshrinement weekend autograph sessions, which will be authenticated by Panini Authentic.

“We are proud to extend our exclusive relationship with the Pro Football Hall of Fame,” said Panini America CEO Mark Warsop. “The Hall of Fame’s members – newly elected and veteran members alike – represent the most-legendary, most-collected superstars in NFL history, and having them in our trading card sets and sticker collections greatly enhances the appeal of what we do. We look forward to working with Hall of Fame executives and members of the upcoming class of enshrinees to make the most of this opportunity.”

“During our first two years together, Panini America proved to be the perfect partner. They have brought new levels of innovation and creativity to the relationship and that will only intensify as we move forward,” said Steve Strawbridge, the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Vice President of Merchandising/Licensing.

Panini America is the only company in the world that manufactures licensed trading cards and stickers for the NBA, NFL, NFL PLAYERS, NHL, NHLPA, MLBPA and FIFA World Cup. The company also has exclusive relationships with USA Baseball, USA Basketball and the U.S. Soccer Women’s National Team. In addition Panini America also has relationships with the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, the National Baseball Hall of Fame and owns exclusive entertainment licenses with Disney, Justin BieberMichael Jackson, and more than 600 global licenses with other sports and entertainment properties.

Time for an all-inclusive box topper set. Spane it out over several years. 1 box topper pack per box with 2 cards from the specially-designed set. Collector’s have never seen an all-inclusive HOF set. It’s time.

Excellent news, I love the look of the old-school cards mixed in with the new in sets like Classic, Prime Signatures and especially National Treasures. Congrats Panini, keep up the good work!

would be nice to see some of these hall of fame player’s on card auto’s…feel sometimes that is the only thing that hurt’s panini football product’s, it’s not so bad in the cheaper series to have sticker auto’s but the high end stuff should be on card, what’s the chance of this ever happening?

Appreciate the feedback, Danilo. We do go hard-signed for our Hall of Fame insert honoring each class of new inductees.

The licenses ….the exclusive rights, to sponsor and control the sessions snd Canton enshrinees’ autographs is as exciting as it is worrisome.
The money to be made by both the NFL HOF & Panini is, quite obviously, vast. That said, I’m far less concerned about Panini’s ability to maintain it’s position as THE international entertainment mega-Corp than I am by American sports’ respective museums.
Im no conspiracy theorist, but I pose the notion, “NBA Hall of Fame” (underwritten by Panini N.A). Certainly thought provoking.
Anyway… congratulations. The ability to conceive and produce remarkable products is limited only to the imagination.
(As a youth services librarian… Im seeing a “Famous Librarians” parallel, Hackler! Think about it; “Bieber & Books” 🙂
