Voting Starts for the 2012 Week 7 Pepsi Max NFL Rookie of the Week (Must-See Gallery)

Want to know who gets more excited than Panini America and NFL collectors about NFL Rookie performances each week during the season? Pepsi Max with its NFL Rookie of the Week initiative. So it comes as no surprise that once again this season — for the second straight year — Panini America and Pepsi would join forces to help promote Pepsi Max Rookie of the Week voting and Panini America NFL Rookie trading cards.

The payoff for collectors and NFL fans everywhere will be some sweet virtual cards that will be highlighted on the NFL Facebook page each week in a special Pepsi Rookie of the Week gallery, across social media platforms and Each week during the 2012 NFL season, Panini America will feature the five Pepsi Max Rookie of the Week Nominees in a different Panini America football card design. (Stay tuned to The Knights Lance, the Panini America Facebook page and the Panini America Twitter account to find out about new Panini America designs and what weeks they will be incorporated into the Pepsi Rookie of the Week promotion.

Now for the fun stuff!

Vote for the NFL Pepsi Max Rookie of the Week each week during the NFL regular season. Then share the image of the Pepsi Rookie of the Week Nominee you voted for on your Facebook page, on the Panini America Facebook page and on Twitter. Be sure to use the #PepsiROW hashtag and mention @PaniniAmerica to be eligible to win prizes throughout the season.

We’ll have more details as the season progresses. But for now, here are your Pepsi Max Rookie of the Week Week 7 Nominees:

  • New England Patriots LB Dont’a Hightower recorded seven tackles and one sack in the Patriots’ 29-26 overtime win against the New York Jets.
  • Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck completed 16-of-29 passes for 186 yards and added two touchdowns on the ground in the Colts’ 17-13 victory over the Cleveland Browns.
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Doug Martin gained 85 yards on 16 carries and scored one touchdown in the Buccaneers’ 35-28 loss to the New Orleans Saints.
  • Washington Redskins RB Alfred Morris rushed for 120 yards on 22 carries in the Redskins’ 27-23 loss to the New York Giants.
  • Minnesota Vikings S Harrison Smith recorded five tackles and his first career interception, which he returned 31 yards for a score, as the Vikings beat the Arizona Cardinals, 21-14.

    I would have said RG3..he almost beat my Giants but thanks to Cruuuuzz he didn’t. But that incredible 4th down and 10 play. I had a feeling after that they would score. But I call this the Andrew Luck/RG3 alternation contest. And since RG3 isn’t an option..My vote goes to Andrew Luck.

    They could be co-ROY’s. Both are having great seasons.

      Luck???? No way! I’m a Bears fan and it definitely has to go to Harrison Smith of the Vinkings because they won and his rturned score was the difference in the game.

    I’m going to have to go with Harrison Smith- An interception for a TD +that was his first one!
    Not to mention only 2 TDs for Andrew Luck at QB against the Browns? I think it’s obvious.

    As much as I want to be a homer and vote Harrison Smith you have to give it to Alfred Morris, he is just a beast. 120 yards against the Giants!

    Harrison Smith or Alfred Morris. But those are some sweet looking cards no matter who wins.
