From Black Friday to Black Football: Images from Panini America’s Upcoming Release

November 25, 2012

Although we’re previewed much of the obsidian-tinted splendor coming to Panini America’s 2012 Black Football right here on The Knight’s Lance, it occurred to us recently that we’ve yet to show any of the base inserts; you know, those sets that may not be graced with autographs or multi-prime memorabilia pieces but are still stunning nonetheless.

So today, on a glorious Week 12 Sunday in the NFL, we thought we’d peek a splendid trio of Black’s inserts by showcasing Captains, Honors and Weaponry. We think you’ll find, as we did, that these three sets are plenty striking in their base state.

In addition, we’re also going to share some images we captured a few weeks back at the Panini America printing facility of a few uncut forms that preview still other facets of Black’s brilliance. Enjoy.

Really like the looks of these. Are the cards thick like Momentum or regular thickness and will the chip easy?

I also like seeing, despite not a Bills fan, a Stevie Johnson insert. Some underestimate what he can do but he has talent
