2012-13 Past & Present Basketball Teaser Gallery (2)

To truly gauge the manifold brilliance of Panini America’s 2012-13 Past & Present Basketball, all you have to do is open one box of the product. But since you won’t be able to officially do that until the product releases tomorrow, we’re going to give you the next best thing: A pack-by-pack breakdown of the box we just opened.

There’s a feel-good, throwback-to-the-future vibe at play in seemingly every pack of the product, which is brimming with cool, technology-driven inserts, vivid design elements and autographs from the NBA’s top stars from yesterday, today and tomorrow. And just in case you missed our gripping announcement from earlier today, 2012-13 Past & Present Basketball also includes Jay Williams’ first autographs in nine years.

But until you’re able to completely immerse yourself in the product tomorrow, take some time this afternoon to get the feel for what one 20-pack hobby box should deliver with the teaser gallery that follows. Enjoy.

Cannot wait to bust a box of this. The only thing missing is the checklist. Thanks Panini !

I do believe Moses Malone won a single NBA Championship not 3. No?

I was perplexed at first, too. The number of titles there refers to the total number won by that particular franchise.

thanx Tracy, yeah I figured it out after I went back and seen 17 for Paul Pierce. Then the light bulb went off.

Any chance there is a rookie card of Kevin Jones (WVU) in this product? He was on the Cavaliers nearly all season and has yet to receive a rookie card. Was wondering if he was in this product or if there were any plans to include him in a future set.

I regret to inform you that he is not in Past & Present but he will be included in 2012-13 Momentum Basketball. So stay tuned!

How come you won’t put Reggie Miller in the Raining Threes insert set? The only Panini card I have ever seen him in was the Game Jersey set in last year’s Past & Present. He is the 2nd All-Time leader in 3s, you know?

I’d really like to see a Kevin Durant set like the Kobe. Maybe in a few years with a little more material to work with.

Is the Damian Lillard in Pack 2 a SP? How rare are the SPs?

Let me help you out, the Lillard is a Variation and they come one per hobby box by what I’ve seen so far.

Tracy, do you know if the Grant Hill in the Modern Marks Autograph set is short printed or not?
