Panini America Provides Live Updates from 2012-13 Rookie Anthology Hockey QC

Panini America 2012-13 Rookie Anthology Hockey Live QC Main

I arrived at Panini America HQ this morning a little later than usual and hastily docked my laptop, fired up the computer, logged in and waited the mandatory few minutes for everything to open, sync and get user-ready. Almost immediately afterward, I knew that this particular Friday would be more rewarding than most — and that has nothing to do with the fact that we’re heading into a three-day weekend. Honest.

Instead, it has everything to do with Panini America NHL Brand Manager Chris Barr graciously filling my email inbox today with one saliva-inducing sneak peek after another detailing the in-progress Quality Control process for 2012-13 Rookie Anthology Hockey. Today, Barr’s office is not down the hall and on the other side of the building — it’s across town at the company printing facility, where Rookie Anthology is rolling on the production line as we speak and will soon begin shipping to hobby shops across North America.

Already today, Barr has provided being-there, doing-that previews of some of 2012-13 Rookie Anthology Hockey’s keynote inclusions (our first NHL Prizms, SilhouettesRookie Silhouettes and so much more) and now we’re going to share them with you.

Enjoy this first look and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance today. As soon as Barr dispatches his next batch of images, we’ll post them here.

Those are awesome cards. Make me an ambassador and send me some so i can check them out :-). But honestly this product is sweet.

Cards look nice but the downfall at least for us up here in Canada is that 12-13 will cost MORE then 11-12 did. This will make it harder to sell with the lousy rookies available.

Wow, didn’t think Prizm would be that great for hockey, but this looks amazing. The parallells…Oh I LOVE THEM! And the “Great outdoors” set looks awesome as well. They are acetate cards, right? Well..this product looks loaded this year! The only sad thing? No Contenders. 😦

Are you kidding me with those cards? Those are ridiculous. I love the Great Outdoors cards and the rest have me salivating on my keyboard right now. I can’t wait for this product to release will be buying a few boxes to break and probably quite a few case breaks too 🙂

Wow, oh wow @ the Prizm Hockey cards.

How much will a box of Rookie Anthology cost? I think I want to get a box, but need to save some money to do so.

Prizm….lets just keep adding colors…Should have stuck with how you did it in basketball….GOLDS and thats it. Making these cards actually collectable and hard to get. And the player in the center of the silhouette cards is a horrible idea imo.. You barely see the patch the goalie takes up the whole space. Staying far away from both these products.
