Jose Abreu’s First Live Autographs to Arrive in 2013 Prizm Perennial Draft Picks

October 23, 2013

Panini America Jose Abreu Perennial (7)

This just in — literally: Panini America on Wednesday morning was on the receiving end of a special delivery that promises to be widely embraced by baseball collectors and prospectors when the company’s 2013 Prizm Perennial Draft Picks Baseball releases November 6. Cuban sensation Jose Abreu’s first live autographed trading cards are coming.

While we’ve yet to confirm which Abreu signed first (his $68 million deal with Chicago or his stunning assortment of Prizm base cards and colorful parallels), we absolutely can confirm that both developments will drive collectors for months to come.

Abreu promises to be the most anticipated international arrival of 2014 and will enter the majors to considerable fanfare. The 6-3, 250-pound slugger is expected to take over first base in Chicago, where his commanding presence and powerful bat will be welcomed additions.

We’ve provided a quick gallery of Abreu’s first certified autograph cards below. November 6 can’t get here fast enough.
