January 17, 2014

Panini America 2014 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl Thursday (25)

LONG BEACH, Calif. — A star-studded cast of 2013 NFL rookies headlined by Geno Smith, Tavon Austin, DeAndre Hopkins, Le’Veon Bell, Justin Hunter, Denard Robinson and Stedman Bailey crammed into the Panini America player lounge Thursday afternoon at the 2014 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl Presented By Panini for one of the most productive signing sessions of the season.

The assembled star power entered the room with lots to sign and with a strictly business frame of mind. In between signing on-card gems for upcoming 2013 Panini America products such as 2013 Black Football, 2013 Crown Royale Football, 2013 National Treasures Football and 2013 Spectra Football, the rookies exchanged great stories from their impressive rookie seasons.

In the gallery that follows, we provide just some of the highlights from Thursday’s session. The signings continue on Friday with the addition of Buffalo Bills quarterback EJ Manuel. Enjoy the scenes and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for additional coverage of the 2014 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl Presented By Panini.

Still nothing on Spectra? It looks nice but I’d definitely like to know more about the product.

When the post showed up about Panini being at an event with the rookies, I was hoping crown royales would be signed and posted. So love this. Spectra looks great, too!

Just curious in the article it talks about theses rookies signing cards for four upcoming products to be released. Any chance they were also able to sign for the outstanding redemptions they may have had in the previous products? Spectra looks sweet by the way will have to pick some up when it comes out.

Awesome my Limited Set is about to grow a lot, thanks Tracy.

Why are there essentially multiple One of One cards for the same card. Yes I realize there is a different patch or shield in each one, but I really wish you wouldn’t do that. It really cheapens the whole One of One appeal.

^Cheers to that…make all the weird versions /3 and then the NFL sheild should be the 1/1, in my personal opinion of course…but they still look great!

Absolutely LOVE everything about this post except one thing…. “A star-studded cast of 2013 NFL rookies headlined by…Stedman Bailey….” …He’s already signed more autographs than he’ll ever have catches…or at this rate even snaps played, so….I mean…well, in the words of…well at this point a lot of people: “c’monnnn maaannnnnn!”

Meanwhile….the Panini Black stuff looks NASSSTTYYYYY this year, can’t wait to try some of that and looks like a very solid sneak peak of NT in here, the LeVeon Bell Nike Swoosh will be mine LOL!!

    Keep up the good work!!!
