Panini America 2013 Crown Royale Football Hobby Teaser (1)

It’s Monday of 2013 Crown Royale Football Hobby release week, which means we’re now just two days away from a bevy of crowning football-card achievements. By this time Wednesday, the first hobby boxes of 2013 Crown Royale Football will have been cracked in hobby shops across North America, revealing a resplendent array of autographed Silhouettes memorabilia cards (in both Rookie and Veteran versions), signed Panini’s Choice Awards Die-Cuts, colored Crown parallels and more.

We’ve shown you plenty of 2013 Crown Royale Football Hobby sneak peeks so far, including last week’s Quality Control Gallery. Today, we’re kicking off release week by taking you pack by pack through four hobby boxes of the product to give you a better understanding of what you might expect at the box level.

Enjoy the experience and stay tuned later this week to The Knight’s Lance for additional coverage of 2013 Crown Royale Football Hobby, including a must-see episode of Panini Unwrapped.

I REALLY wish you guys would do more of the patch/AU RC’s like the 2011 set. The die cut players over the patch was amazing! These are ok, don’t get me wrong, but the 2010 and 2011’s were AMAZING!

COMPLETELY AGREE. When the player was centered… those were killer. These show more patch, but just look too off-center for my taste. The first year BLEW. MY. MIND.

Totally agree! I was a big fan of Crown and the RPAs until 2012 came out. Not a fan of the blahness factor. Even with multiple colors/breaks in 2012/2013 the 2011 patches with the die-cut were much more ascetically pleasing. The designers got this one wrong.

Tracy: Question, looking at box number two it did not have a silhouette autographed card? Is that correct? Last year’s product contained a silhouette in each four pack box, and I was hopeful that trend would continue. I buy Crown Royale for the silhouettes and was just wondering. Thanks.

Fair question, Ron. Eight boxes in each 12-box case will include a Rookie Silhouette auto; with a veteran Silhouette possible in one of the other four boxes. Hope this helps.

Silhouettes look great again this year! But your design/photo department really needs to up their game – this is the exact same Latavius Murray photo that has been used in Contenders (both base and variation), Select, Limited, Absolute, Totally Certified and Black!!

Nice Looking Product!! Let me know if the Clay or Rodgers base cards are available. I’d love to scoop them up for my Packers PC. Silhouette’s are Fantastic as always!!

I love that you have nice vets like Champ Bailey with patch cards, but is it my imagination or did you find a way to make the patch window smaller?

Pretty nice stuff here, good to see a few Colts in the hits and inserts. Thanks Tracy!

It looks like 1 in 4 people will be happy with that break. FUNNY??? how the last box save the break from looking like the practice squad all-star team. The checklist seems to be full of players which means alot more boxes with autos of rookies no one has heard of. And I will keep on saying it. It’s becoming complete BS that we’re paying $$ for players autos which are just their initials. Panini needs to stop accepting lazy autos.

Wow what an incredible product. Totally love the rookie silhouettes especially with bright patches. Base cards that are due cut are the way to go. I look forward to getting my hands onto some!
