Panini America 2013-14 Prime Hockey Autograph Peek (9)

My intention this morning — when I departed the cozy but cramped marketing office I share with Scott Prusha and made my way left and then right down to the massive Panini America Acquisitions Vault near the back of HQ — was to bring you an extended look at the slew of on-card arrivals for next month’s release of 2013-14 Rookie Anthology Hockey. So you can imagine my chagrin to discover that most of those cards have already been delivered to the production facility across town for a packout that begins in earnest in just a few weeks.

Undaunted, I kept searching, looking for any cool hockey arrivals that might whet the appetites of passionate collectors in need of an eye-candy fix here in the heat of the 2014 NHL Playoffs. Leave it to the juggernaut known as Prime Hockey, a product that always delivers, to come through one more time.

Although 2013-14 Prime Hockey doesn’t release until late June (on the heels of Rookie Anthology in late May and Contenders in early June), it’s clearly never too early to get started on a product like Prime. We brought you the first pre-ink peek of the product less than a month ago. As you’ll see in the gallery that follows, a lot can happen in that time. Indeed, some of the game’s top stars and most coveted rookies have already returned their hand-signed masterpieces for the set, setting the stage of an epic Prime finale.

Many of the product’s early autograph returns are detailed in all of their unmistakable “Primeness” below. Enjoy, and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for continued coverage of Panini America’s historic conclusion to the 2013-14 NHL product season.

Just look at these cards! How the heck the NHL doesn’t think this is the best representation of their league is beyond me!!

Looking forward to Prime this year, should be stacked with all the rookies. Someone needs to talk to Jensen and explain to him the difference between initials and signature.

Man, it is a crime against the hobby that Panini is losing its hockey license. Hope to see more Prime in 5 years – for now, this stuff looks FANTASTIC!
