Panini America 2014 World Cup Update Main (2)

U.S. Men’s National Soccer Team coach Jürgen Klinsmann caused major waves in the American soccer community with his controversial decision to leave the legendary Landon Donovan off his squad’s final 2014 FIFA World Cup™ roster. But the move amounted to an international incident for the millions of fans around the globe furiously finishing their Panini 2014 FIFA World Cup™ Sticker Collections. Donovan’s omission, depending on your sticker-collecting perspective, instantly made your 2014 FIFA World Cup™ Sticker Collection either outdated, incomplete or simply inaccurate.

Similar late-stage personnel scenarios played out around the world as coaches finalized tournament rosters in the days after Panini had printed and released the popular 2014 FIFA World Cup™ Sticker Collection to international destinations.

To help account for those changes, Panini has produced a 72-sticker roster update set featuring several key album replacements from 28 of the 32 World Cup teams.

The 72-sticker roster update (featuring 71 new player stickers and one 2014 FIFA World Cup™ Sticker Album sticker) carries a $9.99 SRP and is available for pre-order now at Sticker updates will begin shipping on July 23.

Australia and Russia lead the way with five sticker updates apiece. Colombia, EnglandItaly, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, and the United States are next up with four sticker updates each. The biggest new updates available in the collection include Diego Costa (Spain), Marco Fabián (Mexico), Óscar Duarte (Costa Rica), Bacary Sagna (France), Benedikt Höwedes (Germany), Adnan Januzaj (Belgium), and Kyle Beckerman and Alejandro Bedoya of the United States.

The update stickers are also quite user-friendly. The back of each one includes the sticker number it’s intended to replace in the album. We’ve provided a small preview gallery of some of the players in the update for your viewing pleasure below. Pre-order your roster update set today.

So how are these going to apply in the already set booklet? Is this going to be in addition or are you going to release an update booklet?

These will be placed over the existing stickers they’re intended to replace in the current album.

One more tip guys. I personally keep update stickers loose.
If you stick them over existing ones, you will devaluate them.

I wrote a complete guide to updates, as they are different depending on the country.
