Panini America Addresses Freshman Fabric Rewards Points in 2014 Certified Football

Panini America 2014 Certified Football Rewards Points Main

The late-stage insertion of informational fliers inside inner cases of Panini America’s 2014 Certified Football last week has created some confusion among collectors regarding what Freshman Fabric autograph memorabilia cards ultimately made packout. Freshman Fabric autographs for the most popular rookies from the 2014 NFL draft class (including Johnny Manziel, Teddy Bridgewater, Jadeveon Clowney, Mike Evans, Kelvin Benjamin and more) were included live in the product; but Panini America officials inserted Panini Rewards points for 13 players whose autographs weren’t returned in time.

After the jump, we provide a complete breakdown of the 27 players whose Freshman Fabric cards were included live in the product and the 13 players for which Rewards Points were inserted.

Here’s the list of players whose Freshman Fabric cards packed out:

Aaron Murray, AJ McCarron, Allen Robinson, Asa Watson, Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Bishop Sankey, Blake Bortles, Cody Latimer, Connor Shaw, De’Anthony Thomas, Derek Carr, Donte Monfrief, Jadeveon Clowney, Jarvis Landry, Jimmy Garoppolo, Johnny Manziel, Jordan Matthews, Ka’Deem Carey, Kelvin Benjamin, Khalil Mack, Logan Thomas, Marqise Lee, Mike Evans, Sammy Watkins, Teddy Bridgewater, Terrance West, Tom Savage.

Here’s the list of players whose Freshman Fabric cards were replaced with Panini Rewards points and will be placed into Panini Rewards inventory when they’re available:

Andre Williams (base version only), Brandin Cooks (base version only), Carlos Hyde (base version only), Charles Sims (base version only), Davante Adams (all versions), Davonta Freeman (base version only), Dri Archer (base version only), Eric Ebron (base version only), Jeremy Hill (base and Red versions), Odell Beckham Jr. (all versions), Paul Richardson (base version only), Tajh Boyd (base version only), Tre Mason (all versions).

Stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for continued coverage of Panini Rewards.

This is more confusing because Odell and Mason are the only two that haven’t been pulled. Everyone else listed is live.

We’ve added information to the post regarding the specific versions included as Rewards Points. I hope this clarifies things.

Thanks it does clarify it more. This info really needs to be out before the product hits, though. How many people bought into breaks that missed out since they weren’t live and the points were just randomed among everyone?

Is this how the points will work in all products, moving forward? Players/cards which are not signed in time, will not be a specific redemption, they will instead be a point card? From multiple previous posts on the Knight’s Lance, it seemed that there would still be player/card specific redemptions for ALL cards in the set?

Pretty disappointing…… how many of us sold those cards to get back something in our investment? Should have known this sooner.

Why couldn’t they have split it up between redemptions and pts. so there weren’t so many points cards? Kind of hurts box breaks with all the pts cards. Less autos to go around in a case break from what I experienced

Where do we go to find out how many points to takes to get a card? I hit one for 150 points and don’t know exactly what to do with them. I don’t have a smart phone, since I don’t like cell phones, so am I out of luck or what?

I for one appreciate that you are at least TRYING a new system to deal with the problem of athletes not always being on time. Appreciate the efforts, thanks for your patience, we will try to be patient with you as well!
