2014 Donruss ‘The Rookies’ Baseball Box Set Coming Exclusively to iCollectPanini.com

Panini America 2014 Donruss The Rookies Baseball Main

It’s no stretch at all to classify 2014 as a downright magical year for the venerable Donruss Baseball brand. Panini America officials brought the product back with a collector-embraced vengeance earlier this year in a standout Series 1 that refreshingly recaptured the very essence of bygone Donruss releases.

In fact, that product was so well received that a Series 2 release followed in August, providing a well-deserved and updated encore for one of the most successful baseball products of the season. But just like most collectors out there, we’re not quite ready to say “goodbye” to Donruss Baseball just yet.

Panini America officials have created two additional Donruss Baseball releases — the 2014 Donruss Baseball Factory Set and the 2014 Donruss The Rookies Baseball Boxed Set — just in time for the holiday shopping season. Both products are available for pre-sell now at iCollectPanini.com and will begin shipping later this week; The Rookies Boxed Set is an iCollectPanini.com exclusive.

The 101-card The Rookies Boxed Set carries a $25 SRP and includes complete sets of The Rookies from Series 1 and Series 2, The Rookies Update and one autograph. The Rookies Boxed Set autograph checklist includes the likes of Nick Castellanos, Kolten Wong, Jose Abreu and George Springer from Series 1 and Series 2.

The Rookies Boxed Set also features Contenders Rookie Ticket Autographs signed by Abreu, Springer, Castellanos, Xander Bogaerts, Gregory Polanco, Yordano Ventura, Mookie Betts, Arismendy Alcantra, Jake Marisnick, Jon Singleton and more.

The product also includes some of the last Panini America autographs of the late Oscar Taveras, the talented St. Louis outfielder who died in a tragic automobile accident in late October.

Below, we provide a sneak peek gallery of just some of the Rookie Ticket autographs randomly inserted into the 2014 Donruss The Rookies Baseball Boxed Set.

But before we get to that, here’s some additional information on the 2014 Donruss Baseball Factory Set:

I love collecting cards with no logos. It really makes the cards look better.

Can I get a refund on all those short-printed 2014 Donruss base cards I spent a ton of money on BEFORE everyone knew you were going to issue a factory set for only $35?

Love the format of the Rookies set, the Rated Rookies from 2010 football are still a fun break chasing the autos from that class. Thanks Tracy!

Can’t think of a rookie class with this many studs..I mean every player just that are pictured here are solid to All-Star worthy..everyone of those guys pictured above could make the All Star team next year. They won’t because we know how it works, but they still might be deserving of it. I still haven’t got over Oscar. Glad to keep seeing him around..

I wonder if there were quantities ever released for the autos, much like the 2010 Rated Rookies Football Set. Would be nice to know which were SP’s!
