The Panini America Quality Control Gallery: 2015 Prizm Baseball (150 Must-See Pics)

May 6, 2015

Panini America 2015 Prizm Baseball QC (158)

A product like Prizm Baseball needs not much in the way of introduction. By now, more than three years into a colorful, captivating existence, the brand has established itself as a perennial baseball staple favorite packing a rainbow-array of collecting possibilities. But with the all-new 2015 edition set to arrive in hobby shops across North America one week from today, it’s worth noting that Panini America baseball product developers have continued to boldly push the envelope in terms of what’s possible with Optichrome technology.

When 2015 Prizm Baseball launches next week, collectors will immediately recognize — and almost certainly appreciate — several new additions to the Prizm parallel structure, including the funky-fresh Tie-Dye Prizms, the scarce No. 2 Prizms and the striking Black & White Checkered Prizms. Prizm fixtures such as Golds, Camos and Oranges are powerfully present, too. And they all boast a base design that only accentuates the Prizm effect.

2015 Prizm Baseball also delivers some unique die-cut inserts, deft USA Baseball inclusions and a stacked autograph lineup that’s predominantly on-card. Earlier this week, Panini America’s Wes Elliott oversaw the packout process for 2015 Prizm Baseball, affording all of us the distinct pleasure of appreciating what this year’s release has to offer. In the massive Quality Control Gallery that follows, you’ll see what Elliott saw.

Each 12-pack hobby box of 2015 Prizm Baseball will deliver two autographs and at least nine Prizm parallels. We’ll have more on the highly anticipated release of the product in the coming days right here on The Knight’s Lance. But for now, sit back and enjoy this extended sneak peek.

I know I’ve said this before, but I really hope the next football prizm release has this design. Especially the auto cards (

The #2 parallel is a joke though… putting Jeter on the same level as Robinson isn’t a good look.

Great looking shiny cards, I like the McCutchen design/photo especially. Thanks Tracy!
