Panini America Provides Detailed First Look at 2014-15 Flawless Basketball (Gallery)

August 15, 2015

Panini America 2014-15 Flawless Basketball Main

Panini America officials redefined the high-end trading card market almost three seasons ago with the seminal release of 2012-13 Flawless Basketball, a high-end, high-frills, hit-filled spectacle that delivered base cards embedded with real precious gems, and some of the most breathtaking autograph and memorabilia cards basketball collectors had ever seen. Heck, even the product’s metal-briefcase packaging commanded attention.

That first Flawless effort created instant demand for last year’s second installment and also paved the way for an equally successful release in football. Now, Panini America officials are readying 2014-15 Flawless Basketball for release — and they’re upping the ante in the process.

For proof of that fact, simply peruse these two Instagram teases we posted earlier this week:

Due out in late September, 2014-15 Flawless Basketball will deliver six on-card autographs, two memorabilia cards and two cards embedded with authentic jewels. New for 2014-15 will be cards honoring the greatest members of the USA Basketball Men’s National Team, including rare triple-jewel cards featuring rubies (red), diamonds (white) and sapphires (blue). Every card in 2014-15 Flawless Basketball will be numbered to 25 or less.

Additional highlights of the product include . . .

  • Every box of 2014-15 Flawless Basketball delivers two jewel base cards sequentially numbered to 20 or less; also look for the new 30-player USA Basketball set in which each card features three gems — a ruby, a diamond and a sapphire.
  • Jumbo patch autographs return with all-new designs such as Momentous Autographed Memorabilia.
  • Discover stunning triple-signed autographs featuring players who’ve teamed up for USA Basketball.
  • 2014-15 Flawless Basketball marks the debut of Dual Diamond Memorabilia, a set that features game-worn patches from two players, including Dual Logoman versions.

And be sure to stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance in the coming days for a must-see recap of Panini America’s Flawless signing session earlier this week at the USA Basketball Men’s National Team Mini-Camp.

Lol, epic? More like ‘mixed up’. That card just looks so awkwardly designed, and I would never want it in my collection with the signatures in the wrong place…
