Examining 2015-16 Court Kings Basketball’s One-Per-Case Aurora Chase (Gallery)

Panini America 2015-16 Court Kings Basketball Aurora33

Panini America’s 2015-16 Court Kings Basketball is a trading card work of art in and of itself; a colorful, compelling, perpetually popular entry on the NBA collecting landscape filled with subtle and not-so-subtle artistic elements. And one of those elements in particular, the one-per-case Aurora insert, is worth appreciating just a little bit more.

Indeed, for a product that is built on a stacked roster of autograph and memorabilia content, the mem-less, ink-less Aurora chase has resonated with longtime Court Kings devotees as much for its good looks as for its relative rarity. One look at the eBay results of Aurora during 2015-16 Court Kings Basketball’s first few weeks on the market supports that notion.

In the gallery that follows, we offer a thorough examination of the Aurora insert, showcasing each card in the 25-card set. Enjoy the images and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for continued coverage.

Just wondering, ever think about doing a D-league set? It works in baseball, maybe it would work in basketball. Especially with many guys making it to the pros.

A D-League set would be nice especially since the NBA is expanding it next season!
