Panini America Provides Veterans Day Peek at the Upcoming 2016 Black Friday Set
Throughout the month of November in stadiums across the country, the NFL’s biggest on-field heroes will honor the real-life heroes of our nation’s military as the league once again continues its poignant Salute to Service tribute to veteran and active-duty members of the United States Armed Forces. For every point scored during each of the NFL’s 32 designated Salute to Service games, the league will donate $1,000 to its three core military partners: The Pat Tillman Foundation, USO and the Wounded Warrior Project.
Across the league during Salute to Service Military Appreciation month, NFL players will wear newly designed on-field apparel including hats, sweatshirts, gloves, captains patches and more. Once again this season, Panini America is doing its part to raise awareness of the Salute to Service campaign like only it can: With the return of a special camouflage memorabilia insert in the company’s upcoming 2016 Black Friday set.
In the gallery that follows, we preview many of the Salute to Service cards that will be featured in Panini America’s 2016 Black Friday set, including unique player-worn Salute to Service memorabilia. In addition, and in honor of Veterans Day, we’re also showcasing a few more cards from the set that feature an unmistakable patriotic theme.
Enjoy the sneak peek and be sure to thank the heroic men and women of the United Sates Armed Forces — today and every day.
Game-worn merchandise and footballs used in Salute to Service games is being auctioned off by NFL Auctions and special camouflage merchandise is available for purchase now at NFL Shop. All of the net proceeds will be donated to the league’s three core military nonprofit partners. Since the campaign’s inception, the NFL has donated more than $9 million to its military non-profit partners. The funds have been used to build family centers on military bases, host physical health expos for injured veterans and provide scholarships for service members.
