So much has changed since we last saw Panini America’s Plates & Patches Football franchise as a standalone brand. The year was 2010 and a heralded rookie crop included headliners the likes of Rob Gronkowski, Demaryius Thomas, Antonio Brown and Tim Tebow. But here’s what hasn’t changed: Plates & Patches remains relevant as a concept with an apt product name that foretells of a rich roster of prime memorabilia and autographs from the NFL’s top rookies, veterans and legends.

Set to arrive in early February, 2016 Plates & Patches Football returns with a whole new look and feel, and five-card hobby boxes that deliver, on average, one on-card autograph or Rookie Patch Autograph, one Prime memorabilia card and one Printing Plate. Discover additional details after the jump.

The highlights of 2016 Plates & Patches Football are many and include . . .

  • Stunning on-card autographs from the greatest to play the game in the Canton Calligraphy insert.
  • Chase massive memorabilia swatches in the Full Coverage and Double Coverage.
  • Score stellar Rookie Patch Autographs from the stars of the 2016 NFL Rookie Class.
  • Every card in the program is numbered to 99 or less.

We’ll have plenty more on 2016 Plates & Patches Football in the coming weeks right here on The Knight’s Lance. But until then, enjoy this extended sneak peek at the product’s triumphant return.

P&P was one of my favorite programs in 2010, good to see its return with a format mindful of the product name. Thanks Tracy!
