Grand Finale: Panini Eternal to End Patriots Super Bowl XXXVI Anniversary Set in Style
During the last seven weeks, Panini America has used its Panini Eternal platform to partner with the New England Patriots in celebrating the 15th anniversary of the franchise’s 20-17 triumph over the St. Louis Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI. That’s when Tom Brady first became a household name . . . when Adam Vinatieri became an stone-cold closer . . . when the Patriots started building their dynasty.
Each Thursday during the last seven weeks, Panini Eternal has launched a new Super Bowl XXXVI anniversary card honoring key moments and pivotal players from the 2001 season as a lead-up up to this Sunday’s game against the Rams, when the Patriots will honor their first Super Bowl championship with a special halftime ceremony. Panini Eternal will also pay tribute to this weekend’s culmination with some grand plans of its own.
Beginning later today, Panini America will launch the first two cards of a jewel-embedded five-card set devoted to the heroes of Super Bowl XXXVI. Brady and Willie McGinest cards launch today at 2 p.m. CST. Cards honoring Vinatieri and Troy Brown will launch tomorrow at 2 p.m. CST. The last card in the set — fittingly featuring a celebrating Brady amid falling confetti — goes live on Saturday at 2 p.m. CST.
Each of the five cards will be available in three versions: Black 1/1s will feature a ruby, a diamond and a sapphire, Blue cards limited to five will feature a diamond and base versions (with no jewels) will be limited to the number ordered.
Below, we provide a gallery of all the cards coming up during the next three days. Be sure to visit the Panini Eternal website for more information.
