Green-box goodness awaits. This time tomorrow, Panini America’s 2016 National Treasures Collegiate Football, the company’s first-ever standalone National Treasures product devoted exclusively to college football, arrives in hobby shops across North America dressed to thrill with a straight-A’s lineup of autograph and memorabilia content.

The product features the NFL’s hottest rookies and veterans from their college playing days as well as some of college football’s greatest icons. Of course, the product also includes something of a “typo” on the product packaging. Although each box clearly states it contains eight cards, in reality each delivers 12. Included among those 12, on average, are two base or parallel cards, one booklet, two memorabilia cards, six autographs (including at least three on-card) and one additional autograph or memorabilia card.

In the revealing Quality Control Gallery that follows, we showcase just some of the splendor that awaits when 2016 National Treasures Collegiate Football arrives tomorrow. Enjoy the sneak peek and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for continued coverage.

I think this looks like a nice product. My only caveat is that I don’t feel that a high end product such as National Treasures should include ANY sticker autos. And also, is there a way Panini could instruct the players to actually INCLUDE their nickname on the Notable Nicknames autograph sets? It’s not just in NT that the players don’t do this, I’ve seen it in other products as well. Or if the set is called Inscriptions, could you ask them to actually “inscribe” it with something… Overall, nice looking product. I especially like those football shaped ones with the auto on the football!!! Those are neat in my opinion.

I’m quite impressed by this year’s NT college football, great use of the NCAA licenses to provide some unique variations to the standard NFL relic colors and direct attention to the college-only collectors out there. Thanks Tracy!
