If ever there was an NFL rookie crop that deserved to have its best Rookie Cards delivered to collectors already safely encased in a protective holder, it would be the one from this season. Headlined by the spectacular exploits of Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott but backed solidly by productive debuts from Carson WentzSterling Shepard, Will Fuller V, Jordan Howard and so many more, the 2016 NFL Draft Class has been a driving force all season long.

And in mid-February, Panini America will honor all of these first-year phenoms and the rest of the NFL with the new 2016 Encased Football, a unique release that includes one BGS-graded, hard-signed rookie autograph card in every box. On average, each five-card hobby box also delivers one additional autograph and two memorabilia cards.

The highlights of 2016 Encased Football are many and include . . .

  • Among the insert possibilities in the one-per-box graded autograph cards are Rookie Endorsements, Rookie Dual Swatch Signatures, Scripted Signatures, Rookie Notable Signatures and Rookie Cap Patch Autographs.
  • Myriad on-card autographs from rookies, veterans and legends of the game all sequentially numbered to 99 or less.
  • Cool Rookie Cap Patch Autographs featuring a jumbo hat swatch and an on-card autograph.
  • Unique Pro Bowl memorabilia in Pro Bowl Jumbo Materials, Pro Bowl Dual Materials and Pro Bowl Material Signatures.
  • Rare, oversized Cut Signature redemptions from some of football’s greatest icons.
  • Hard-signed memorabilia cards from the past, present and future of the NFL.

We’ll have plenty more on 2016 Encased Football in the coming weeks right here on The Knight’s Lance. But until then, enjoy this extended sneak peek:

This set looks primed to make a huge impact on the hobby, I was a big fan of the out-of -the box graded sets back in the late 90s-early 00s. Thanks Tracy!
