At long last, one of the most beloved NFL trading card products of all time is ready to rock for a new season. This time tomorrow, Panini America’s 2016 Contenders Football will command collector attention in hobby shops from coast to coast and in group breaks across the continent. It’s the Rookie Ticket Autographs. It’s the history. It’s the mystery surrounding SPs and SSPs. It’s this phenomenal 2016 NFL Draft Class. It’s . . . everything. And it all starts tomorrow.

We’ve been preparing you for Contenders Release Day for the last several days here on The Knight’s Lance and on the Panini America Instagram feed. You’ve seen the Quality Control Gallery. You’ve probably seen this image and this image. Today, we’re taking you pack by pack through two early boxes. On average, each hobby box of 2016 Contenders Football delivers five autographs, but many will include more.

Each box also includes a Gridiron Digital Contenders Rookie Ticket Gold Ink Signature for fans of the Panini NFL Gridiron digital app. Enjoy the gallery that follows and stay tuned for complete details on 2016 Contenders Football’s SPs and SSPs.

Looks like another awesome year! Going for my 12th year of rookie ticket autos! Tracy, did they ever release the SP print runs from last year? I only say the list of SP & SSP but never exact #’s. Or maybe all SSP were to 50 and SP to 200? Do we know how to tell base rookie autos from variations yet? thanks!

What a way to kick off Contenders season, two very impressive boxes. Very smart decision in making those duals sticker autos to reduce the amount of redemptions in the product as well. Thanks Tracy!

I agree with hudsonfan15. I’d be fine pulling the dual auto /5 regardless of stickers or not. Like he said he reduces the amount of redemptions. Looking forward to breaking a few boxes at some point.

Some cool looking cards! Any chances to win these through Panini Wild Card this weekend?
