When it comes to impressive debuts, Panini America’s premiere edition of Black Gold Football two seasons ago taught us all a little something about the true impact of the right first impression. An instant frontrunner for New Product of the Year, 2014 Black Gold Football stood out conceptually, aesthetically and from a pure content perspective. That initial release was warmly embraced by collectors — and immediately raised expectations for all future Black Gold products.

In its second year, 2015 Black Gold Football continued to impress by relying primarily on the brand tenets that were clearly defined during that standout rookie season. Rest assured, the non-negotiable (such as Sizeable Signatures, Shadowbox base cards, and rich autograph and memorabilia content) will return intact when 2016 Black Gold Football arrives in hobby shops across North America one week from today. But this year’s release also has a few new twists, too.

Key additions to 2016 Black Gold Football include the new Gold Reverse parallels of base and base inserts numbered to 15 or less . . . the legend-laced Gold Records Autographs insert . . . and a new Hall of Fame Symbols metal logo insert. Sizeable Signatures

This year’s Rookie Cards are the popular Sizeable Signatures autographed memorabilia cards and all metal logo cards will be limited to 50 or less (much lower than previous years). Oh, and Metallic Marks returns with autographed metal pieces from the NFLPA Rookie Premiere.

In the must-see Quality Control Gallery that follows, we offer a revealing romp through just about everything 2016 Black Gold Football has to offer. Take a peek for yourself and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for continued coverage.

I really hope there is a less-impossible-to-find parallel color of that Edelman

There are definitely some must have in this. Like that Barry Sanders auto. That card is sick.
