Panini America 2017 Majestic Football Main

For those wondering, the denotative meaning of “majestic” is “having or showing impressive beauty or dignity.” For an example of what that looks like in football-card form, well, keep reading. In early May, Panini America will proudly unveil for the first time the Majestic Football brand, a higher-end heat-generator of a product that delivers, on average, four autographs (including at least one on-card) and four memorabilia cards in every 10-card box.

Boasting undeniable good looks, stacked autograph and memorabilia checklists, and lofty ambitions, 2017 Majestic Football is anchored by a 100-card base set, the first autograph memorabilia cards of the 2017 NFL Rookie Class and on-card autographs from some of the greatest players in league history.

The highlights of this new offering are many and include . . .

  • Hard-signed-autographed cards permeate the Distinguished Defenders, Astonishing Arms, Regal Runners and Wondrous Receivers inserts and will be numbered to 99 or less.
  • Memorabilia inserts include Team Pedigree, Unsung Warriors, Showstoppers Materials, Proteges Materials and Icons Materials.
  • Look for multi-signed cards in the Ring Bearers Signatures, Hall of Fame Descent Signatures, Black and Blue Signatures, Franchise Dual Signatures, Super Bowl Teammate Signatures and New Blood Signatures. Multi-signed cards will fall two in three boxes, on average.
  • Rookie Scripted Swatches include the first autographed prime memorabilia cards from members of the 2017 NFL Rookie Class.
  • Exalted Triple Materials features current stars and all-time greats numbered to 50 or less.
  • Unsung Warriors Materials highlight fan favorites with oversized jersey swatches, with Prime versions numbered to as low as one.
  • In addition to four autographs and four memorabilia cards, each 10-card box also includes two base or parallel cards numbered to 99 or less.

We’ll have plenty more on 2017 Majestic Football in the coming weeks right here on The Knight’s Lance. But until then, sit back and enjoy this extended sneak peek, which includes some early on-card returns from superstar receiver Randy Moss.

I like this alot. I’d have to say the Astonishing Arms is my favorite insert, although I think it all looks amazing.

So it’s like NT with photoshop greyscale.

Looks pretty weak, like a combo of Limited and NT. Why buy this at an assumed higher price when you can buy NT? It’d be nice to see older products brought back to life such as 2011’s Gold Standard.

Majestic looks like Limited on steroids, great to see a subset like Defenders spotlight some of the stars opposite the typical offensive players featured in most releases. Thanks Tracy!

I like the cards alot. They were a lot of players with autographed cards in this set that you usually don’t see. Ive been in one break with the Ravens and hit a Ray Lewis on card Award Winners auto. I do have to say out of the 3 cases ive watched being broken i habent seen any top draft pick RPAs being pulled. Ive seen alot more vet autos then top rookies.
