Panini America 2017 Donruss Football Tom Brady

The flagship is on its way. In early August, Panini America’s landmark Donruss Football franchise returns for another glorious season with its open-armed arsenal of staples (such as Rated Rookies and Gridiron Kings), a new array of inserts for the 2017 season and a limited print run. Set to arrive in hobby shops across North America on August 2, each hobby box of 2017 Donruss Football (10 cards per pack, 24 packs per box, 18 boxes per case) will deliver one autograph, one memorabilia card, 24 Rated Rookies, 24 Rookie Cards and a whopping 40 inserts.

While many of those inserts will stay true to the proud predecessors from Donruss’ rich past, some will be all new, including Ground Force, Up Tempo, Salute to Service and the throwback-terrific Highlights and 1981 Tribute.

The highlights of 2017 Donruss Football are many and include . . .

  • A massive 400-card base set.
  • Rookie Phenom Jersey Autographs featuring Prime and Tag versions numbered to as low as one.
  • Signatures and swatches from the NFL’s top rookies, legends and veterans in inserts such as All-Time Gridiron Kings Autographs, Donruss Threads and Signature Marks.

We’ll have plenty more on 2017 Donruss Football in the coming weeks right here on The Knight’s Lance. But for now, enjoy this extended sneak peek (keeping in mind that the 2016 rookies featured in the preview gallery below are merely to show collectors what Donruss’ various rookie designs will look like):

When I was a kid, I loved Donruss. When it returned a few years ago, I fell back in love with it. I would love to see a set with the 1987 look to it.

I consider Donruss the standard for NFL releases and this edition looks action packed. Thanks Tracy!

Awesome! Will it be the same as last year where each team gets 10 or 11 base cards? Hopefully it will have the first Maclin Ravens card!!
