Teaser Gallery: Panini America Breaks Four Early Boxes of 2016-17 Spectra Basketball

June 27, 2017

As the scorching days of summer continue to tick slowly past, one sweat-soaked day after another, leave it to Panini America to make things even hotter this week inside hobby shops across North America with not one . . . not two . . . but three new releases dropping tomorrow. Indeed, this time tomorrow promises to be a rip-roaring good time with the arrival of 2016-17 Spectra Basketball, 2017 Donruss Elite Football and 2017 Torque NASCAR Racing.

We’ve spent some quality time here at The Knight’s Lance during the last week or so providing revealing Quality Control Gallery previews of all three products. Today, we begin the Teaser Gallery peeks by taking you directly to the box level, beginning with 2016-17 Spectra Basketball. In the gallery that follows, we take you card by card through four early boxes.

As you’ll see, even though boxes tout the presence of seven autograph or memorabilia cards in each box, some boxes deliver more than that. Enjoy the early glimpse and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for additional coverage.

That Triple Threats of Booker is freaking awesome. This is looking to be a great set.

Every box I have seen opened has bad corner damage except these cards.

Beautiful cards. Wish they would collate better. The box with the Koby, which makes it a great box, also has 8 hits. No sense at all.

Call this “Snakes in a hobby box” cuz we have a Black Mamba sighting! Very nice yield from these boxes, thanks Tracy!
