Panini America 2018 Flawless Baseball Peek Main

When Panini America’s 2018 Flawless Baseball arrives in hobby shops across North America on Friday, it won’t take long at all for high-end hardball collectors to discover that the product is every bit as legendary collectively as the individual immortals comprising its checklist. One look at the image above should immediately confirm that. Bat knobs from Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb. A Paul Waner bat barrel. A Mickey Mantle embedded with precious gems. A spike from Ichiro. Decadent RPAs of Walker Buehler and Ronald Acuna Jr. And that’s just seven cards.

As is the case with any Flawless release, this one is filled with bona fide collection-makers from the first briefcase to the last. We brought you preliminary release details on 2018 Flawless Baseball in late August. On average, each 10-card hobby briefcase (two briefcases per case) will deliver seven autograph cards, two memorabilia cards and one jewel-embedded base or parallel card. For the first time, every base card in 2018 Flawless Baseball will include at least one diamond — and the base set checklist includes only the most collectible legends, superstars and rookies. Standard base cards will be numbered to 20 and will be paralleled by Pink (numbered to three) and Black 1/1.

In advance of Friday’s highly anticipated release, Panini America Product Development officials have devoted most of the last several days to packing out the product — and, as you’ll see, that process has afforded ample photo opportunities. Enjoy this special packout peek at 2018 Flawless Baseball and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for additional coverage.
