Panini America Offers Detailed First Look at 2018 Playbook Football (Preview Gallery)

Panini America 2018 Playbook Football Main

As a guy who gets paid to love all of Panini America’s products equally, I probably shouldn’t admit that there’s one product I love above all others. But I’m going to admit it anyway. Playbook Football. There. I said it. Playbook Football is my favorite Panini America product. So you can imagine my dismay when the product took last season off following a roller-coaster six-year run that started in 2011. Apparently, I wasn’t the only one who missed it. Good news: Playbook Football is back!

Set to arrive in hobby shops across North America in early December, 2018 Playbook Football once again will deliver some of the industry’s most spectacularly conceived and aesthetically gifted booklet cards, including the return of the popular Game of Inches and Armory. On average, each hobby box (four cards per box, eight boxes per inner case, two inner cases per master case) will deliver four autograph or memorabilia cards including one booklet card per box.

For the first time since 2012, Playbook will include hard-signed memorabilia booklets and, on average, three in every four boxes will deliver an on-card Rookie Playbook Jersey Autograph numbered to 125 or less. 2018 Playbook Football also will be included in Panini America’s ongoing 2018 NFL Kickoff Pack promotion. Distributors will receiver two 2018 NFL Kickoff packs for each 2018 Playbook Football box pre-ordered (32 packs per case).

The highlights of the triumphantly returning 2018 Playbook Football are many and include . . .

  • Brand new tri-fold booklets in the Nexus and Vault inserts. Both inserts will include Tri-Fold Jersey Autos numbered to 25 or less as well as Gold (numbered to 10 or less) and Premium 1/1 versions.
  • Veteran stars, retired greats and historic coaches are all featured in impressive fashion in the form of Playbook Material Autos, Front 4 Jersey Signatures, Split 6 Signatures, Hail Mary Signatures, Coaches Quotes and much more.
  • The stunning Rookie Playbook Jersey Autograph chase delivers a wealth of collectible possibilities including Jersey Autos (numbered to 125 or less), Gold (numbered to 99 or less), Platinum (numbered to 49 or less), Green (numbered to 25 or less), Red (numbered to 10), Glove Autos (numbered to five), NFL Shield Auto, Laundry Tag Auto and Printing Plate Auto 1/1s.
  • Playbook Materials Autographs booklets feature the likes of Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson, Rob Gronkowski, Peyton Manning and more with base versions numbered to 49 or less and including a host of parallels highlighted by NFL Shield Black and Nike Swoosh Black 1/1s.
  • The Rookie Jumbo Memorabilia Booklet Complete Logo 1/1s are among some of the most epic memorabilia cards you’ll see all season — or in any other season.
  • The incredibly cool Game of Inches booklets return in stunning acetate fashion. The most dynamic photography-driven booklets in the hobby are included in base versions numbered to 25 or less, Gold versions numbered to 10 or less and Premium 1/1 versions.

We’ll have more on 2018 Playbook Football as the release date approaches. In the meantime, feast your eyes on this tantalizing preview . . .
