Written by: Connor Zimmerlee
While the NFL season may be entering the home stretch, that does not mean the action is getting any less exciting. Quite the contrary, Week 12 brought another brilliant slate full of must-watch games and superstar performances, which you can add to your collection through the newest round of Panini Instant NFL cards.
Going on the road to face the Titans, Jaxon Smith-Njigba was unbothered by the hostile environment in Nashville and stole the show with 167 receiving yards and two touchdowns in a 30-24 victory. This brought his season total to 1,313 yards, passing DK Metcalf (1,303 in 2020) for most in a campaign in franchise history.
Among the biggest storylines from of the week emerged from the Browns’ tilt against the Raiders. And for good reason, with rookie signal-caller Shedeur Sanders making his highly anticipated first NFL start. From the jump, it was clear that the moment was not too much for Sanders to handle.
Dialed in, the budding star threw for 209 yards and a touchdown, helping guide Cleveland to a 24-10 victory on the road to pick up the first win of his promising career. His first career touchdown was a 66-yard connection to fellow rookie Dylan Sampson, who brought in a screen pass during the fourth quarter and weaved through the defense en route to a long score. Joining in on the first-year scoring parade was Quinshon Judkins, who was responsible for Cleveland’s other two touchdowns in the triumph.
Making history in the victory over Vegas was superstar Myles Garrett, as he logged a trio of sacks and brought his season total to a whopping 18.0 — already the most in a season in Browns history.
