It’s coming. 2011-12 Dominion Hockey — the high-end juggernaut that’s easily one of the most anticipated products of the entire 2011-12 season — will be here  before you know it. (The crowd erupts.)

And here’s one surefire way I know it’s getting closer: Last week, amid the frenzy of activity surrounding 2011-12 Prime Hockey and getting that beauty ready for, well, prime time, I noticed a most sublime shipment of cards delivered hot off the presses from the Panini America printing facility.

The contents of those boxes — subtly labeled “Dominion” — were absolutely stunning: The set’s Rookie Card “jersey number” variations graced with goose bump-inducing prime patches and enough wow factor to last weeks. All that’s missing now are the on-card autographs — and that process began in earnest the minute the cards arrived in house. But before they went back out, I snapped a few pics to set the scene for what to expect as we build toward Dominion’s release.

So consider this your first fantastic preview of “live” cards from 2011-12 Dominion Hockey. I promise you, it won’t be your last.

    1. From Chris Barr, our trust NHL Brand Manager: “Anton Lander will be well represented in Dominion. He will have a Rookie Autograph Patch and he will also be featured in many of the Dominion insert sets.”

  1. What’s the word on pricing per box? (so I can get my fund started soon if not immediately) Thanks.

  2. Are those cards from a parallel set? I noticed that each card is #’ed to the player’s jersey. Are the rookies going to be like those in Titanium or should we expect a regular set #’ed 99 or more?

Gorgeous patches, though, I am really impressed with the way Panini’s finishing with 11-12 products and I really feel like the best is yet to come!

  3. Is David Rundblad going to be a Coyotes or Sens pull? I’d guess Coyotes but I have seen him be Sens in a few of the later products as well. Also is his jersey # parallel going to be to his Coyotes #2 or to his Sens #7? I was a bit confused that he is featured in Titanium as a Coyote, but is serial numbered to his Sens jersey number.

  4. T, are any of the materials used in this set for the rookies game used?

Also, Austin is missing his token images of Kopitar from your products.

You need to get on that and/or let us know how well represented he is.

    Thanks as always!
