A Panini America 2013 Father’s Day Update: More Prizms, More Pylons, More Pigskin

Never underestimate the overwhelmingly collectible byproducts that can arise from a good, old-fashioned R&D session. After all, it was nothing more than pointed experimentation with how different finishes affect Panini America's Prizm technology that generated many of the limited-edition cards coming to next month's 2013 Father's Day set.

Never underestimate the overwhelmingly collectible byproducts that can arise from a good, old-fashioned R&D session. After all, it was nothing more than pointed experimentation with how different finishes affect Panini America’s Prizm technology that generated many of the limited-edition cards coming to next month’s 2013 Father’s Day set.

Some of them you’ve already seen in a previous gallery. Today, we’re unveiling a few more stunners sure to add additional value — and an incredible chase element — to the 2013 Father’s Day promotion. Boasting finishes with cool names like “Brushed Aluminum” and “Pulsar,” the Father’s Day-exclusive 2012 Prizm Baseball inserts you’re about to see all will be limited to 50 copies or less.

More specifically, the “Brushed Aluminum” MVP, Rookie Relevance and Top Prospects cards will be limited to 25 or less; the “Brushed Aluminum” Dominance and “Pulsar” Brilliance and Elite Extra Edition inserts will be limited to 50 or less.

Also included in this 2013 Father’s Day preview is your first look at the updated Super Bowl XLV game-used football and end zone pylon cards (limited to 55 copies or less) and 2012 NFL Pro Bowl game-used football cards (limited to 25 or less).

Enjoy the sneak peeks. And as we enter the final few weeks before our huge 2013 Father’s Day promotion, stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for additional updates.

  2. More Pylons I need to get, I love the Pro Bowl, iam kind of bummed though that those cards are basically the same thing as the 2011 Black Friday , it almost makes it like collecting the 2011 was almost pointless.

  3. Collecting in Colorado? Mike’s Stadium Sportscards in Aurora will have ~500 Panini Father’s Day packs available. We will have loads of product to go around and thanks to Panini for this incredible promotion!

  4. Fantastic preview of the content for this year’s promotion, those Pro Bowl mem cards are looking great. Thanks Tracy!

    1. Each hobby shop will most likely run the wrapper-redemption program a little differently depending on their inventory. We’ll have a complete list of participating dealers posted in the next several days.

  5. EBay will be loaded with them Fred..Shops will say they didnt get any as usual but will have them listed on Ebay…as usual

  6. Wow..Scott, Tracy and the Panini gang did a great job with these. The Prizms look incredible. Would love to pull a pylon or football piece

  7. don’t you guys think you might want to stop the mystery nonsense and tell us what the deal is with this stuff?? It was fun, but its getting kind of ridiculous now…

  8. So um, what are the odds that there is a Pro Bowl Dustin Colquitt relic? *crickets*

No, really, he’s a Pro Bowl punter and he’s NEVER had a Panini card made of him EVER! *still crickets*

Seriously, am I the only one who actually liked pulling punters and kickers out of football packs? *……… (even the crickets stopped caring)*

Ah well, at least think about getting the kid a card at some point in his career, he’s one of the few missing in my collection of Chiefs starters!
