TORONTO, Ontario — Things are moving at a brisk pace this morning inside Toronto’s MasterCard Centre on Day Two of the 2011 NHLPA Rookie Showcase.

The morning began with the 26 rookie prospects on hand meeting the strong throng of media amid a red-carpet ambiance — and then gave way to the meat of the shoot for Panini America: A day filled with studio photography, on-ice action photography, interviews and a whole lot of fun.

Inside the Panini America marketing room on the MasterCard Centre’s second floor, the brightest young hockey talent on the planet is signing a few autographs, conducting a few interviews and, yes, even letting their creative sides show with some Sketch Card 1/1s.

We’ll update this post throughout the day with tons of images documenting the day’s festivities. Check back often for new pics.

  2. Hi Tracy…any idea what Jersey # Timmy Erixon (NY Rangers Stud Defenseman) will wear ? Thanks.

  3. So whats up with the stacks of hats on players heads? Are we going to have “event-worn” hat cards this year? I mean I know the stacks of jerseys get worn for a few minutes and then the next one gets put on and we call that “event-worn”.

  4. I always love the premieres for both hockey and football. It gets an awesome first look at some of the new players coming into the league and getting to know them a little bit. What I would give to hang around at one of these events!

  5. Cool! Cant wait to see the details on the hats. Always a cool piece. Great coverage of the behind the scenes and being able to see what its like on your end Tracy. Must be tons of fun for you and for them.

  6. Hi Tracy and NY Ranger fans..,.Looks like Upper Deck’s “The Cup” went live today and i was disappointed that Derek Stepan’s true rookie auto/patch # /249 and his Rainbow # /21 are Redemptions…again Panini is ahead of Upper Deck with the soon to be released DOMINION (about 2 weeks away)….and D.Stepan will have his DOMINION R.C. auto/patch ready and inserted into packs and not a redemption card, Congrats to Panini ! Looking foward to future Panini products to include NY Ranger Stud Tim Erixon…Carl Hagelin and maybe ….a long shot to make the Rangers this year Christian Thomas . Dominion could be Set of the Year…looking foward very much for its release !
