HOUSTON — Late Friday morning, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame conducted a press conference in conjunction with 2013 NBA All-Star Weekend to announce, among other things, finalists for induction in 2013 and an extension of the Hall’s exclusive agreement with Panini America. When the 30-minute spectacular (which aired live on NBA TV) ended, the stars really came out.

Atop a stage filled with some of the greatest basketball players of all time, Panini America had the rare opportunity to interview 2013 finalists Tim Hardaway and Gary Payton, and 2006 inductee Dominique Wilkins. The topic of conversation on this special occasion? Hall of Fame basketball cards, of course.

This special video details those three interviews as well as some of the other sights and sounds of the press conference.

  1. When I was a kid, I remember watching Dominique “The Human Highlight Film” Wilkins win the Slam Dunk Championship in 1990! He was something to watch in his day!!

  2. Being a Knicks fan…everytime Hardaway was open from beyond the arc when he played for the Heat, I would cover my eyes. he could really nail some threes
