  1. Im going with emergency QB T.J Yates as my award winner. Not only has Yates been forced to develop chemistry almost overnight with a receiving corps missing stud pass catcher Andre Johnson, but Yates’s yeoman effort ensures the first playoff berth since ’93. This performance, which included the waning seconds game-winner, sets Yates apart from the other nominees this week.

  2. It has to be TJ Yates. Coming off the bench to replace Schaub. And its just awesome that this team will finally be in teh playoffs. And he helped them comeback against a stingy Bengals D to lead them to the division title. congrats to him and the Texans! Posting pic on Panini wall of my vote!

    1. Matt Leinart initially came to the rescue, but he suffered a fractured left collarbone as he began his “comeback player of the year” campaign during the Week 12 tilt against Jax.
The North Carolina product, Yates, gives the Texans a puncher’s chance in the post season!

      1. Leinart was in there for such a little time I had forgotten he came in lol. Thanks for reminding and correcting me!

  3. Awesome cards by the way as well!! Love the Contenders design. Each week you guys find a way to top the previous weeks cards.

    1. I enjoy the discussion, Matt. The Panini blog provides all of us with a cross-over platform; the ability to discuss sports…AND the trading cards that are inextricably intertwined with them. Like stocks, card values rise & fall based upon performance. This blog will only grow bro!
