Art Appreciation: Peeking Panini America’s 2013-14 Court Kings Basketball (Gallery)

Late last week we brought you the splendid first look at Panini America's upcoming 2013-14 Court Kings Basketball, the first standalone release of the impressive, art-inspired brand since the 2009-10 season. The overwhelmingly positive response to that post in the last four days has served to raise the pre-release expectations for Court Kings. The following pre-ink preview should send those expectations even higher.

Late last week we brought you the splendid first look at Panini America’s upcoming 2013-14 Court Kings Basketball, the first standalone release of the impressive, art-inspired brand since the 2009-10 season. The overwhelmingly positive response to that post in the last four days has served to raise the pre-release expectations for Court Kings. The following pre-ink preview should send those expectations even higher.

Today, the Panini America NBA Acquisitions team began the process of acquiring thousands of on-card autographs for 2013-14 Court Kings Basketball by expediting a varied and vibrant selection of hot-off-the-presses cards (including the Fresh Paint, Impressionist Ink, Court Kings Autographs and oversized box-toppers) to NBA stars past and present across the league.

As you’ll see in the gallery that follows, Court Kings offers a true lesson in art appreciation. From simulated canvas textures to a captivating splash of colors, Court Kings’ many hard-signed cards will deliver an unparalleled feast for the eyes. Enjoy the gallery and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for updates as the following cards are returned for packout.

  1. Very nice looking cards, can’t wait to see them with on-card autos!! Too bad some blowhards out there don’t appreciate anything.

  2. Looks awesome! So glad to see it back…now there’s just one thing…please bring back Panini Classics football (2010 was AWESOME) or make something similar to this like the old Gridiron Kings in full set version (as opposed to the subset in Threads or Gridiron). Keep up the good work Panini!

  3. Love the colorful designs and the texture looks very good. A real treat for basketball fans as well as arts enthusiast! Great great product!

  4. i like this set..very artistic and underappreciated, hope the le cinque cards have auto’ed version.. must buy product of the year.

      1. THANK THE CARD GODS AND PANINI FOR ON CARD AUTOS ON COURT KINGS >>> SO HAPPY! I thought Elite Series was going to be it and this is Awesome how colorful the product is since the Cinque Piu Belle days…

  5. re: The Hidden Panini Knight’s images contest – Either, I am blind or you guys haven’t hidden the images as of 3:12pm CST. Is it possible that the images have not yet been updated OR that the wrong links are posted? Can’t believe I spent 45 minutes looking and didn’t find a single one… Thanks for all the fun contests!
