Indeed, readying a product like this unique high-end blockbuster for market is a process that knows no down time.
But since we know there’s nothing much better than spending the lazy afternoon of an extended weekend in front of your computer gawking at pure, unadulterated beauty, we figured now was a perfect time to share more exclusive images from the packout process, which should conclude in the next few days.
The product releases September 14. Until then, these images — and more like them in our other Dominion galleries — will have to get you through.
Tape To Tape are my favorite cards in the set, but you’re making it difficult to choose. lol Again, fantastic job with Dominion!
This is looking like make just be the Hockey product of the year hands down, can`t wait to see the really deal.
very nice!! any idea when the final checklist will be posted?
Is Burmistrov an auto/patch /99 or regular auto /199?
Are the tape cards just the tape or is there a piece of stick underneath?
Just the tape, I believe.
The tape is so much more interesting than other relics. It really shows tangible evidence of it’s use and impact on the game. Very cool.
Wow Tracy these cards are freaking AMAZING!!!! I havent ever been a huge hockey collector but i just started dabbing in hockey cards a few months ago and this product really makes me want to be a BIG hockey card collector!!! I might just have to put me a order in for a couple boxes at my local cardshop now. Keep up the great work Panini!!!!!
tracy are there going to be basketball cards this upcoming season if there is a lockout
thanks
Good question. There’s not a whole lot to report on the 2011-12 NBA front just yet. Stay tuned for details as they become available.
Just make a smallish set on the guys that are playing overseas and not sitting at home complaining :p.
Wow. I love the prime pieces used in Panini Products. way to go guys!
T, that Schenn is out of control!
If he were still a King that would be going somewhere!
Love the dual shield and the Ovi Tape to Tape cards!
Now show us something Kopi laid ink to!
Can I make one request for next year????
please, please, please, put the serial numbering on the front of the cards in every single product from now on.
It affect so many things and is so much better.
Aside from that, I love the look of dominion, but hate the fabricated patch cards. At this price point it cheapens the product overall. They have already been used multiple times this season with Limited, All star game weekend, and the rookies and stars sets. Let’s be honest, they were not a big success in the other products so why go back to the well for a 4th time?
Matt
Amazing cards. But Its starting to feel like torture!
Hi Tracy…..another awesome Stepan “Dominion” Rookie patch/auto, you made my labor day weekend sweeeeeeetttttttttt ! For any NY Ranger…Dallas Stars…Red Wings…Sabres…Carolina Hurricanes…Minnesota Wild..St.Louis Blues …Columbus Blue Jackets & Panini fans out there., dont forget about this years “Traverse City Prospects Tournament” from 9/10(Sat.) through 9/14(Wed.)…all NY Ranger tournament games for the 1st. time ever will be telecasted on MSG …cant wait ! This tournament will showcase some of the best Prospects and Future Stars to come….im sure you’ll be seeing many of these players on Panini’s products in the near future…hopefully Panini will be attending, it will be a great Photo-Op for you guys ! Lets get this season Rolling…everyone enjoy your Labor Day…especially Panini and the Crew, you guys are always doing a Great job & Thank You ! Joe R. (NYC)
It looks like most of the rookie cards feature patch swatches, but the Stepan is an example of one that has the seam of a regular jersey portion. Are there going to be different parallel versions of each rookie card based on fabric type, or will the base versions of each card simply use a mix of fabrics?
I also echo the above comment that serial numbering should be put on the front of prominent cards — like the ones in Dominion, or other high-end rookie and patch sets. I think it’s OK to have it on the back of standard inserts, parallels, or jersey cards.
Ba da ba ba ba….I’m lovin’ it.
Tracy,
Can you post any final pictures of Jacob Markstrom’s RC, I cannot for this card as you know. Please before they are all packed out.
Thanks,
T
