Attention, Certified Hockey Collectors: Which Would You Prefer?

Panini America Hockey Brand Manager Al Muir sauntered over to my desk today to let me know that he's ready to reveal the identities of the six Freshman Fabric Signatures rookie redemptions from 2010-11 Certified Hockey.

For those passionate collectors who’ve been waiting on pins and needles for this information, Muir’s revelation is quite exciting. But since Al and I couldn’t come to an agreement on the best way to announce this information, we decided to leave that decision up to collectors.

So, how do you think we should distribute the information? Let us know by voting in the poll below. At the end of the weekend, we’ll analyze the results and do what the greatest number of collectors want us to do.

  1. I say you don’t announce them at all and let people redeem and find out for themselves.

As the mail starts to come in and people begin posting the race to be the first would be kind of fun. Especially if there are some numbers out there that do not get redeemed for a while.

  2. I voted for … Don’t let us know until all six cards are produced and ready to ship … then you can show them off all at once 🙂

  3. Let the people know.

I think it allows them to make informed decisions when trading these cards until they’re in hand. Plus with all the subsequent products coming you don’t want these to get lost in the shuffle once everyone moves on to the proverbial flavor of the week in hockey cards.

Announce them all now, and yes I voted as such Tracy. 😉

  4. We shouldn’t have to wait at all. Don’t release a product if you don’t have it. Redemptions are an OUTRAGE to begin with.
