Back in Black: Panini America Reveals First Autograph Arrivals for 2013 Black Football

By most accounts, Panini America's premiere installment of Black Football in 2012 delivered some of the most attractive designs of the season, a striking mix of rich, black themes and shimmering foil treatments that created cards that were as fun to look at as they were to pull. For 2013 Black Football, due out in late January, Panini America officials took the best of what worked last year and added some deft new tweaks.

By most accounts, Panini America’s premiere installment of Black Football in 2012 delivered some of the most attractive designs of the season, a striking mix of rich, black themes and shimmering foil treatments that created cards that were as fun to look at as they were to pull. For 2013 Black Football, due out in late January, Panini America officials took the best of what worked last year and added some deft new tweaks.

The result is a stunning sequel that includes jumbo, prime-patch 1/1 autographs, the already-ballyhooed Shadow Box Jersey autographs and more. If you thought the pre-ink peek we gave you last month was something, well, you’re right. But in the weeks since, we’ve received the first autographs back in house from several 2013 rookies, including Mike Glennon, Cordarrelle Patterson, Marquise Goodwin, Matt Barkley and more.

They’re all on display in the gallery that follows. Enjoy the images, enjoy the NFL’s Week 15 games today and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for additional updates on 2013 Black Football.

  2. Good golly, Bob Marley, those are hotttt!
The design is impressive; the patch cards and Jersey shadow-box autos are absolutely gorgeous! As an aside, Matt Barkley’s sig’ is beautiful and I’m pleased to see that Cordarelle Patterson now signs “C Patt” as opposed to the “C P” his other auto mem’ cards bear.
Really sharp product guys. Hope Christine Michael gets his chance!
