Beanie Wells Shines in 2011 Panini America NFL Player of the Day Grand Prize Event
No matter what most NFL fans did last Saturday afternoon, chances are they have nothing on how Byron Guerra, a 17-year-old collector from Phoenix, Ariz., spent the first day of his weekend, rubbing elbows with Arizona Cardinals superstar running back Beanie Wells and thoroughly enjoying the hobby that made it all possible.
As the grand-prize winner in Panini America’s 2011 NFL Player of the Day promotion, Guerra earned the opportunity to spend the day with Wells, first at his family’s home for a personal party and then at his local hobby shop, Valley Trophies & Sports Cards, where Wells signed free autographs and warmly regaled fans with his larger-than-life presence.
Panini America’s Player of the Day point man, Doug Drotman, was on location to document the day’s festivities, both on video and with good, old-fashioned photography.
