Can’t Make It to The National? Then Panini America is Bringing The National to You.

ROSEMONT, Ill. -- Look, we here at Panini America realize that not everyone can make it to the 32nd Annual National Sports Collectors Convention. We understand that and we sympathize with those loyal collectors who would love to be here but simply can't be.

ROSEMONT, Ill. — Look, we here at Panini America realize that not everyone can make it to the 32nd Annual National Sports Collectors Convention. We understand that and we sympathize with those loyal collectors who would love to be here but simply can’t be.

So we’re bringing a little bit of The National to you.

When no one was looking earlier today, I snagged a few of our highly coveted silver-foil wrapper-redemption packs that have kept the entire show buzzing since the doors first opened on Wednesday afternoon. And some lucky collectors enjoying this week’s extensive coverage of the show through The Knight’s Lance are going to win them.

All you have to do to be eligible to win a pack or two is simply comment on any of the National photos or videos we’ve posted so far — and will continue to post — this week. That’s it.

When we return to the office next week, we’ll select a fair amount of winning commenters at random and send you some of these show-stopping packs.

To make entering the contest from home as easy as possible, we’ve posted links to our National coverage so far below. We’ll add the most recent links to this list in the coming days. So sit back, enjoy the sights and sounds of the 32nd Annual National Sports Collectors Convention and leave comments to your heart’s content.

We’ll do the rest.

Thanks for reading and good luck.

  1. That is a great wat to give back to fans guys. I would enjoy a shot at anything you are giving away. Good luck everyone.

  2. I think the football hand drawn sketch cards would be the best item to win. There will be many relic cards and many autos of these guys down the line but a hand drawn sketch where can u possibly get one from??? They are rare and unique.

  3. As always Panini is all about the collectors, I don’t see any of the other card companies doing anything for us, all they care about is making money not bringing the enjoyment of the hobby to us who matter the collectors. I have collected since I was four years old, I took a break for a couple of years because I couldn’t afford even one pack of cards, now I am older and I still love the hobby but with one change. I collect cards from the card company that has the same passion as I do for me and the hobby PANINI. Thank you guys for all you do for us and wish I could be there.

  4. thanks for the chance to win Panini . Next year I am hopefully going to be able to go . Military issues stopped me from going this year 🙁

  5. Tracy-
It was nice meeting you and Scott on Thursday and discussing the all-veteran product idea amongst other things. Bring on the Woodson autos…and keep an eye out for my six missing Lee Evans Classics patches!!! -Ed

  6. Get ready for the next craze in card collecting – player made doodles!! Artists they ain’t but it looks hilarious to see some of their art.

  7. This is great! It’s the only way we, international collectors, could get a piece of the action from the Nationals there in the States. If we are eligible to join. Haha! It’s a loooong shot, but a chance, nonetheless. Thank you!

  8. Panini does it right. Great promotions at the National.

I would like to give away a “Silver Pack” to customers who buy a box of Panini products and an additional pack to those who open a box in my store and get a redemption card. Is this possible?

  9. I’d love some packs, too. My fingers are aching for some ripping, especially when I’ve been seeing some amazing cards come out of your product. national or not.

  10. WOW I am saving now so I can make it to the next one for sure. You guys paint a pretty picture, I am so jealous of anyone there. Looking forward to a great season of releases from you guys. The sketch cards are the coolest I agree but to have a chance to open any wrapper redemption would be a rush. Thanks again and travel safe. Marty in COLORADO

  11. Now thats is a sweet collection of Prizes that I would galdly accept.

  12. I was living in Chicago when I first started collecting NBA cards seriously (97-98 season). I went to the National that year (also held at Rosemont) with my nephew who was 11 at the time(and who’s responsible for me getting into collecting as an adult). I was such a new collector myself that I couldn’t appreciate the size and scope of the show. I’d love be able to get to another National now that I have been a hard-core collector since. Wish I were there.

  13. Just wanted to say Thanks for the opportunity to snag some of these silver redemption packs from all of us who couldn’t make it to Chicago. First Class move from a First Class company.

  14. I have been avoiding the blog the past couple of days after seeing all of the great stuff I was missing out on at the National… But this makes it all better! Thanks Panini for giving the rest of us a chance!

  15. Hi Tracy…….Man, i cant wait to go to a National in the “Big Apple” or Atlantic City, NJ …any chance you and the Panini Crew could make a pit stop in New York on your way back to Dallas…theres plenty of Cold Ones here…Im buying…lol ! Looks like everones having a Ball out there…im Dying to rip…Would you mind sending a handful of those SILVER FOIL Show-stoppers this way….Huh ? Anyway…enjoy the rest of the National…you Guys deserve it…rirrrrrrriiiiiipppppppppppppp ! Joe R. (NYC)

  16. Panini rocks! Thats basically what I gather from all of the National coverage. You do so much for the collectors. Speaking on behalf of all collectors, we really appreciate it! Thanks for another chance for us collectors to get in on all of the action.

  17. I can’t wait for this! It is very nice of you guys to give out stuff when we can’t go. It is very appreciated of you guys to actually give us free stuff knowing not everything is free. Thanks for this nice contest of some sort and I hope I have a chance to get a wrapper redemption! 😀
    ~Anthony~

  18. Thanks panini, with I were there but it’s a long trip from west coast canada. Thanks for the updates, vids, pics, and contests!

  19. Wish I could’ve been there, looks like a great time. Also, props to Panini for running these contests for us collectors. Good stuff!

  20. –Mr. Tracy Hackler, It was a pleasure to meet you friday afternoon with my nephew Brian. As I said to you at the show “You are by far the best blogger on the web.” Keep up the great work bringing us fans closer to the behind the scenes action!
–Great idea on snagging some of those silver packs for the blog reading fans who couldn’t make the show this year! I got mine at the show already & they are beautiful! Blog reader for life! Thanks!

  21. Thanks for this great chance at free packs! I saw the video by Scott Prusha highlighting what is going down at Nationals. It looks like a fantastic atmosphere to be breaking tonnes of packs and watching people make some great pulls. Tebow Auto #/2, Newton Auto #2/2, those are some fantastic rewards for breaking packs you’d normally do! I’m hoping I get a chance to break a pack or two 🙂

  22. That’s very cool of you guys! I’m going to have to get myself to Toronto for the Expo one of these years. Looks like everybody’s having a great time in Chi-town!

  23. Glad for the chance to win, and see you “sharing the love” for us homebodies.
It agonizes me to think you guys just threw all those foil wrappers away though, I know our local SPCA collects those from all the Dave & Adams stores, and I think they recieve scrap $$$ back as donations…

  28. Thanks for the contest! I bet you wish you could give one pack out to all of Panini’s fans! I enjoy the updates from the show. Thank you. Hopefully I’ll be able to go one year.

  29. Those are some great pics. Last fall we were at the Toronto expo and at the Panini redemption booth and we plucked some very cool cards. Hope to do this again this fall. Can you come up with product line that has the NHL all-stars and cards with different memorabilia like jersey, glove, skate, stick and pants combos? Maybe this can be an insert set. Thanks and keep up the great work your doing.

  30. Hey Tracy,

  33. Thanks for the chance at what looks like another great redemption from Panini. the frequent updates from the show are excellent for those of us that wish we were there.

  34. You guys are one of the best! Above UD for sure and provide lots of extras for collectors. Loved gold standard, keep it up! you guys truly are being nice here and even the non winners of this will probably all agree on that!.

  35. It’s simply amazing how the card industry continually innovates a simple concept, and even though I could not make it to the convention, I was in awe at all of the sweet products that Panini has put out for collectors of all ages. Great job, and i can’t wait for Dominion Hockey!

  36. Sweet contest. I’d love to get a hand on a pack or two of those silver packs! thanks for the chance and keep up with the great coverage!

  37. Man you guys are the kings of kards, you allways amaze me and other with your product and the way you represent the game of hockey, football, basketball and eveything else in between with such passion it is a true testament to the company, keep bringing us the game and we will keep buying, keep up the excelllent work and thank you for keeping us intertained.

  38. Thanks for doing this Panini! I don’t think UD would ever do this which shows why I’ve bought more Panini Hockey cards this year that UD’s.

On a side note, we need odds on the packs. 😛 I want to know what chance I have of pulling something when I’m busting a pack or two without having to look up on the Internet. 😉

  39. I would’ve loved to go. Collecting is my past time to keep me happy. I just can’t afford to go. Or I would be there for sure. Maybe one day you can come to Jazz Nation.

  40. Look like I missed a great show. Heard great things about the Panini promotions from those that went. Hope to make time next year.

  41. I have always been impressed with your company and how well you treat your fans/customers. I think it is so cool that you offer some possibilities for even the smaller time collectors that can’t make it to a national show!

  42. Panini is the best hands down! You guys continue to shock and awe us collectors! The sketch cards look awesome. I would love to get ahold of one of them! That is a great idea you have brought to the stage. Maybe a Kobe or Blake sketch on the way? that would be sweet. I would love to get anything you give away from nationals!!! I have never been to a National Show. I have Brain Cancer and cannot travel long distances without being uncomfortable. I have only one shop in my area. Thank You

  43. This contest is a great idea. I wish I could have gone to the National as I have never been, but with a wedding coming up on September 1st there are no extra funds to make it there haha. Anyway, I hope Im not too late to be entered and thanks for having this contest!

  44. Class act with the contest Tracy. I heard all the other corporate card booths were dead compared to you guys. And I doubt any of them thought to give something to the peeps that couldn’t make it there. Bravo.

  45. Thanks for the contest! I would’ve loved to go there! It seemed VERY fun! But anyways maybe next year. 😀 I am in on this contest!

  46. As always great job on taking care of the people who really adore your fine products you have been putting out to us. I cant thank you enough for the numerous chances to win some of your fine products !!!

  47. Thanks for the contest!! I was hoping to have a chance at getting some of these! Hope my entry isnt too late! You guys are awesome. and thanks for showing video and pics for those of us who couldnt go and for giving us a chance to win some of these/1

    1. I meant to put “win some of these!!” Forgot to hit the shift button lol.

HOpe this contest is still open!! Those prizes were amazing and winning any of them would be sweet!

  48. i do not think i can say kudos enough to panini

from a business standpoint and as i collector myself, panini knows how to take care of the customer, unlike some companies who shall remain nameless and a growing less relevant everyday js

well done panini, great blog and from what i hear and see, an awesome show

  49. I take it the winners were already chosen for these? Congrats to them!! Would have been sweet to have won one!
