During a strict business trip to Southern California this week, Panini America’s Brian Bayne has spent parts of two days — and is about to spend part of a third — meeting with Los Angeles Lakers superstar (and Panini exclusive athlete) Kobe Bryant for a series of intense but profusely productive signing sessions.
Bayne departed for LA with a priority list big enough to qualify as a carry-on. He’ll return to Texas in the next few days as something of an office hero. So far this week, Bryant has signed autographed trading cards for 2012-13 Totally Certified, 2012-13 Crusade, 2012-13 Gold Standard, 2012-13 Signatures and 2012-13 Elite Series. On the agenda for this afternoon: 2012-13 Limited, 2012-13 Marquee, 2012-13 Past & Present and 2012-13 Momentum.
We’ll have more from this week’s trip right here on The Knight’s Lance in the coming days. But we simply couldn’t wait to show off some of the early fruits from Bayne’s labor — and Bryant’s incomparable right hand.
Enjoy.
Great to hear that Kobe is signing Marqee this afternoon. Can’t wait to get my redemption back from your company!!!! Way to go!!!!
Any chance he got Pau Gasol to sign? Been waiting on a Gasol auto redemption for over six months. Thanks.
You guys always make nice looking cards, but these are just phenomenal.
My favorite player. I could use one of each autograph card for my collection!
Who’s on the other side of that Pass the Torch auto?!
Kevin Durant.
What a haul of Kobe ink, I’m sure many of those will be featured in future editions of the weekly redemption update once they are in house. Thanks Tracy!
Man, could we see a few photos of Kobe signing these cards and him smiling at the camera? =)
We added a photo of Kobe signing for us tonight at the top of the blog post, Barry.
I’d love to meet Mr. Bayne…let him know if he’s near Woodland Hills to come visit the Valley’s newest card shop! 19737 Ventura Blvd. #202
One of those Kobe Autos would be a great present Tracy and team Panini. Either that or my 1st Panini D Ros3 auto!
Now that he’d sitting up in the house he has all the time in the world to sign! Hope he gets better soon!
best part is: on card autos!!
Wow!
LOVING those Mamba Hard On Card Signatures!
Lots of Mojos On that Trip!!!
The Previews of what to come gives me so much excitement
As we may be pulling some of those someday!

No. He’s signing on the card.
ok cool
Are the Kobe momemtum monumental marks on card or sticker?
Thats awesome. Guess he has time right now waiting to heal. His autograph would look great in any collectors collection.
Hi Tracy, I pulled a “Current Signatures” (Card #4) redemption out of Marquee today (June 21) … did he happen to sign that subset or just the Majestics? Just anxious to get my card, thanks! RJ
