Chargers RB Branden Oliver Claims Week 6 2014 Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week Honors

Voters on NFL.com have made their choice. Running back Branden Oliver of the San Diego Chargers is the Week 6 2014 Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week for games played October 9-13, the NFL announced today. Oliver had 124 scrimmage yards (101 rush, 23 receiving) and the game-winning touchdown in the Chargers’ 31-28 win over the Oakland Raiders.

Oliver was selected from among five finalists through fan votes on NFL.com. The other Week 6 finalists were Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams, Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell, Denver Broncos CB Bradley Roby and San Francisco 49ers CB Dontae Johnson.

After the regular season, five players will be nominated for 2014 Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year honors. In conjunction with the 2014 Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week promotion, Panini America produces virtual trading cards of each week’s five nominees and a virtual card for each week’s winner.
