Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton Voted Week 9 Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week

Voters on NFL.com have made their choice. Quarterback Andy Dalton of the Cincinnati Bengals is the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week for games played on November 6-7, the NFL announced today. Dalton threw for 217 yards and three touchdowns in the Bengals’ 24-17 win over the Tennessee Titans.

Voters on NFL.com have made their choice. Quarterback Andy Dalton of the Cincinnati Bengals is the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week for games played on November 6-7, the NFL announced today. Dalton threw for 217 yards and three touchdowns in the Bengals’ 24-17 win over the Tennessee Titans.

Dalton was selected from among five finalists through fan votes on NFL.com.  The other finalists were running back Roy Helu of
the Washington Redskins, wide receiver Julio Jones of the Atlanta Falcons, running back DeMarco Murray of the Dallas Cowboys and cornerback/punt-returner Patrick Peterson of the Arizona Cardinals.

After the regular season, five players will be nominated for Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year honors. Fans can vote for the winner on NFL.com throughout the month of January. The winner will be announced at a press conference at Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis.

In conjunction with the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week promotion, Panini America produces virtual trading cards of each week’s five nominees and a virtual card for each week’s winner.

  2. I picked him!! Getting on a roll now!! I was on NFL Network, as always, and saw that he had won and knew that Panini must had put it on here too. Andy has led that team to 5 straight victories. He had to replace Carson Palmer, and has way outdone himself. He looked great with 3 td passes last week. He deserved the win.
